    Morning all,

It's been hot as hell here today. :D More storms must be on the way. YS left this morning around 10am. After smoko I decided to start washing my front windows and screens. Either that or I would have sat down and felt sorry for myself. ;) DGS arrived at 12.30 and left around 5.30pm. Just done the usual housey things today.

Off to a protest tomorrow although I didn't bother making placards. The council plan to make our mainland parking a paid parking area. Like in airports. It will cheaper just to stay home and not go to work. It's a revenue making scheme for them. Anyhoo no point whining without doing something. I wonder if I should burn my bra in protest. :D

Happy Birthday to Scuzz, SusieSu & Catowens Nan.
Rzl What a shock for everyone. It really hits home doesn't it.
Beemuzed Congratulations. What a great achievement.
Ruby Thanks for the history lesson the other day. :p:D

Well we are off out for a meal. Hope you have a lovely Friday & <hugs> to those not well or down. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

Just a quick BM question before I trot off to work in the pouring rain (thank goodness it's only half a day and it's Fridayyyyyyyyyyyy)

I love the iced fingers you get in the bakery - what kind of dough do you make in the BM to make these please???

And with that off to work - byeeeeeeeeeeeee

I use the enriched dough recipe from DD's Apple Braid but minus the filling of course

    Morning Everyone

Its tippng it down outside and I've got to take the kids to school soon.I'm hoping for divine intervention within the next five minutes. What do you reckon my chances are? Nil I'd say

Not sure what I'm up to today as Morrisons have a special offer on their beef £2 a lb and I could do with stocking the freezer up.Its a case of whether I can be bothered to go out in the rain or not

BM needs to go on later for fruit bread and wm has already been on and will g on again with my bedding.I guess I'll have to dry it in the TD.HM Turkey and Veg pie to make for tea later and a bread pudding.I've got loads of loaf ends to chop up for that so a cheap pud that should do two nights

N9eav I nearly spit my brew out when I read your comment about the sweepstake.Somehow I never even considered that the court system had a sense of humour!

pp hope everything is fine with you today for some reason I keep thinking todays your op day.i could be wrong though as I have a memory like a fish. But if it is good luck I've got my fingers crossed for you

    Good morning all.

(((Hugs))) to all who are unwell, anxious or going through bad times.

PenPin - thinking of you today.

    Happy Birthday to Catowen's Nan!

Shopping for me today - only food, nothing more exciting than that. Dinner will be chicken casserole with roast potatoes and I've not decided on pudding yet.

I was delighted to find, having gone through my whole stash of presents for Christmas, that I only have two more things to knit and two more 'shop' presents to buy. I was amazed by how much I have been stashing away all year. I shall even wrap one or two this afternoon. I've also got all the cards ready so will start on those today, too. After all, it's not long.

Hope everyone has a great Friday. Bright and sunny here so will probably be worth hanging the washing out.

    Morning all,

Wind and cold back again, yesterday was very mild, but too good to last.

Happy birthday to Scuzz and Suesysue:bdaycake::bdaycake:

    PenPin...thinking of you.

Out to lunch to-day with a friend who has just come back from visiting her daughter in Borneo...it is also her birthday so my treat as we don't do presents any more..Ulick will come too as they get on very well. Will be main meal of day so probably something complicated like beans on toast this evening.

Got my electricity bill this morning, turns out that it is €40 plus more than it should be, meter not read so estimated...still finding electricity is costing more than €3 per day so will have to try to cut that back a bit to bring it in line with my 'wish' cost of €75 per month, maybe will try even more as we are now using a gas hob so gas cost has to be factored in somewhere too.

Just Ulick and me for the weekend, DD4 and DGS 2 away for two nights...will either have lazy days or get lots done, depends on my humour in the morning!

    Have a good day all,

    Marie
