Parking Ticket Appeals successes and failures

Hi all,
Received a parking charge notice from Excel Parking Services for "not displaying valid ticket" at (you've guessed it) the Peel Centre in Stockport.
Turns out that my wife had mis-entered the registration number.
I found the ticket on my dashboard, so sent the standard letter from the Newbies thread, plus a paragraph including the details of the incorrect ticket, which I attached a photo of.
Today I received a letter from Excel Parking stating that they had accepted my appeal, and that the notice was cancelled.
Thanks to all those who created the Newbie thread, the template, and the flow diagram. It was incredibly helpful, and I'm so satisfied at beating these con artists!

That's good to hear.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say thanks to the people that wrote the guides to appeal a ticket, I've received my notice today that it has been cancelled. I had sent them the first letter only and that was their reply. So what I thought was all a bunch of mumbo jumbo has really worked!
My ticked was for parking in a disabled bay without a blue badge in Croft Retail Park, in Brombrough, Wirral. The issuing company was Horizon Parking.
Thanks again:T:T0 -
Used the guidance here to successfully get charge notice cancelled by Athena / Lidl - no appeal, just cancelled as had receipt to prove use of shop. If you're over on time, suggest you keep the receipt for this purpose! Thanks guys.0

Glad to hear that you won your appeal as I am currently appealing hence looking on this thread however I am interested to know if you are disabled and forgot your blue badge or you are not and parked in a disabled space anyway in which case I would say it is justified? We struggle for disabled spaces sometimes when parking and its a bugbear when people park in disabled and mother and child spaces when they do not qualify....Debt free 2018

I have followed the advise on Newbies thread and appealed my parking awareness notice using the template provided. My appeal has been completely ignored and I now have debt collectors threatening legal action. Shouldn't I have had a rejection to my appeal before Debt collectors letters?0

Just to say that I have recently had my PCN from ParkingEye cancelled, following my challenge - as per the advice on these pages. Many thanks. I have posted further details elsewhere on the forum.0

Thankyou, I used the 'newbies private parking ticket' thread advice.
printed the letter to private eye.
I received a cancellation letter today.
In my case the car was in a doctor surgery carpark for 13 minutes. Issued me a £100 fine. What a joke that is!
Anyway the template letter worked for me. I guess depends on the circumstances. 13 minutes is very short time.0
