Oh my word that is fabulous, it is for me isn't it...? :rotfl: Rusty, you are going to be going into the Guiness Book of World Records for the most amount of Cadbury's chocolate a person can fit into a box :D

Where did you get your box or did you make it, it is gorgeous :j

So sorry to see the sad face on your little one (only caught up with this thread now). Glad the doctor sorted you out with antibiotics. Hope she starts feeling much better soon as she looks so sad and poorly in the picture.

Edit: just read the posts and saw you got your boxes in Aldi - guess where I want to go tomorrow... ALDI!!!

I could get loads more in there Rainmac ;) Shall I send it to bulgaria via Northampton? ;)

  • Well I wasn't around in the 1960s or 1970s but would your Mum like something like this DVD http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coronation-Street-1970s-Disc-Box/dp/B0009PZ87Q

Or could you put together a seventies sweetie hamper ala this http://candy-crate.stores.yahoo.net/fadayrecagib.html. They're all American sweets but M & S have loads of old style sweets etc.

Toiletries brand from the sixties and seventies- not sure what they would be....hopefully someone else will be more helpful.

junior - for the era your looking for try putting it into google search engine -you'd be surprised what comes up I bet.
I cant think of anything myself...........I was getting married and having kids around then..........(ouch......made myself feel a bit wrinkly then!)
I did a whole folder for my son who was born in 1968 of stuff relating to that time..........what toys were around, music, fashion, houses........all that sort of stuff.
    Good luck:j

Thanks - Easiest thing in the world, melted milk chocolate and mixed some crushed/halved maltesers in. Let them set and then added the white chocolate, for the second one just poared it down one side and tipped it across, then laid it flat and put it in the fridge to set.
Second one, similar, let the milk set and then splodge white choc on and swooshed it about with a cocktail stick and just flicked chocolate all over. It was quite good fun and even though im on a diet i got to lick the spoon yummm....
