Kandi - love the hamper and the way you've finished it off............think I'd have been better doing something like that rather than baskets. Still, might not be too late............I could do similar with a basket I'd have thought.

love the chocolate slabs ............yummy........clever you.:T

Thanks Mary - to be honest I did it like this because i am rubbish with wrapping and i struggled with my little pet hamper so thought of another method. The boxes are quite nice and more likely to be reused than a basket style hamper - even shoved under the bed with the lid on.

Thanks - Easiest thing in the world, melted milk chocolate and mixed some crushed/halved maltesers in. Let them set and then added the white chocolate, for the second one just poared it down one side and tipped it across, then laid it flat and put it in the fridge to set.
Second one, similar, let the milk set and then splodge white choc on and swooshed it about with a cocktail stick and just flicked chocolate all over. It was quite good fun and even though im on a diet i got to lick the spoon yummm....

ooooh yum! Got to try that!! :)

    Thank you!!:T

Also, I got busy makin chocolate slabs for my lot - made them in those sillicone loaf tins from home bargains: im gonna add em to my hampers - if i dont eat em first - cost about £1.20 each and they are about 200mm thick.

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Kandipandi - wow your hamper for your mum is absolutely gorgeous and those chocolate slabs are brilliant. In Hotel Chocolat or Thorntons they would be £6-£8 easily. Very well done, everyone's going to love getting your pressies :T

Hi Kandipandi :hello: can I ask what kind of choc did you use? I wasnt sure what cheaper stuff is good at melting. I know cadburys isnt any good. And I wasnt sure how nice cooking choc would be. Ive seen Dr Oetkers stuff but havnt tasted it, maybe this would be middle of the road
