I love my fingerless gloves--even wear them indoors some days cuz they make me feel cozy-toast
--so perhaps they'd be good for the driver Tad? A little notebook with handy phrases in various languages of the countries they are driving through, such as "How much is that?" "Quarter-pounder with small fries" & THE most important.."where's the loo!"
I've seen digital radios in Robert Dyas but didn't look at the price--sorry
Bit saucy this one, but how about a french maids costume to go with the breakfast in bed:eek:
Used to be able to get those bean bag thingies with a 'tray' top--ideal for using on your lap; or what is the equivalent to a bed-jacket for a man? Perhaps a mini throw effort in a bold colour & you could embroider his name/initials on it, just to keep the chill off when he's sitting up doing his x-word?
I have to admit that I am a 'so safe even I can't find it' sort of personI bought a gizmo for me muvva a fair few years ago, to help when you put on a bracelt etc...still haven't found it & I've turned out all my usual hidey-holes

I've been a lurker on this thread for a while, and have been making hampers since Christmas, although never remember to take the photos to upload until it is too late!
I recently met up with someone who I used to work with 8 years ago, and will be seeing her again before christmas, so want to do a small hamper for her, although I am stuck with what to get her. I usually just send her gardening vouchers, but want to do a hamper as I really enjoy doing them. Not really got a theme, but have 5 mini pots of jam and a mug to give her, with some tea bags. Can any of you please give me some other ideas as to what else I could put with it. Trouble is I don't really know what food she is into. Budget up to £10.00.
Waiting to put a chocolate hamper together and will try to remember to add photos.
Thanks
How about making it into an afternoon tea hamper? You could maybe get a little teapot and add a couple of packets of posh biscuits. Add that t o what you already have and you have a lovely gift. I know someone (sorry can't think who) did a gorgeous tea hamper on a tea tray. It looked great- there are pictures on the old thread.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hiya, need a little bit of help.
My mum's hamper has turned out to have a bit of a cupcake theme:D. Have got some Dove stuff as that's what she wanted. Made a couple of the flannel cupcakes, then found some cupcake bath bombs in the local Home Bargains. Think I need a cupcake candle now.
The thing is, I would like to try and make a big cupcake to put it all in, I have a nice soft white towel to cover the top (thank you nescafe coffee beans :rotfl:) but am having trouble trying to think of how to do the cake case bit. I thought maybe corrugated cardboard painted ? but don't know where I can get any, done a search and its a bit expensive.
Soooooo any ideas?whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Not quite what you were asking but mr t was selling off spotty cake tins (for storing cakes in not cooking ) really cheap and i thought it would make a nice big cupcake with a white towel hiding the contents too
for cardboard try electrical shops, big appliances have big boxes
