  • Hey all, last minute ideas please, I am making up a hamper (kind of) for a friend with a star I bought for her from the internet (well, it was free really!) and I would like to add some other star things to it. I have a book on astronomy, some haribo starmix, a star bath bomb from lush... I would like to get some glow in the dark stars but have no idea where I can get cheap ones (i.e. up to £2)

    Any ideas?

There are some here, but they are £2.99 - there is some fab wrapping paper too!

  • Thanks flourgirl and lazydazy, a little more than I wanted to pay but I do appreciate it; I have already spent about £10 and as she is a work friend I think that is probably enough :)

Here is my mum's finished basket:

    christmas2009craft058.jpg

    Contains:

    Orange Marmalade
Damson Jam (made with Damsons from my friend's garden)
Blackcurrant Jam (made with blackcurrants from my inlaws garden)
    Plum Chutney
Apple Chutney (made with apples from a friend's garden)
Tomato Chutney (made with tomatoes from my garden)
    Chocolate and Vanilla Fudge
    Shortbread

Packed into a basket which was from Store 21. The jars came from Lakeland, and are topped with fabric "hats" made from fabric I bought from ebay which has holly on it. The fudge and shortbread are in little cello bags from Lakeland with a holly design on it. The Holly design cellophane came from ebay.

I think the whole thing, including the basket, jars, fabric, bags, cellophane and ingredients cost less than £20.

Not strictly speaking a hamper or a basket but I've got a collection of foodie things that my Granny likes and have wrapped them as a "tower of treats". I bought the boxes a few months ago from Home Bargains for £1.99 for all of them and a couple more that I haven't used. All in al it came in at just under £25 and includes a litre of coffee baileys, special teas, special biscuits, chocolate and jams.

    thats awesome, love it :)
