Hi everyone - haven't been on here for ages! been asked today to do a hamper for my friend's step-dad's 60th birthday - any ideas of things to put in it? she's got a t-shirt & some sweets (that look like pills!) to put in it and wants to spend £20-£30! My poor brain is drawing a bit of a blank as to what to include! thanks in advance...0

i have just done a 50th birthday hamper for OH
depends how much you want to spend, some hampers i do cost hardly anything, this one, we did spend more than usual but its a HOOGE hamper, main cost was a personalised bottle of wine, but even that was cheap at under £20
we got things like a comic from when he was little, the No1 single the day he was born, we are gonna make that into a bowl after he gets it, it was £1.25 from ebay, there are retro sweeties, and lots of silly presents, we managed to get a £15 prezzybox discount on here, so all the joke 50th things cost us about £1. in the end, we got a silver sixpence from the year he was born, and we got a nostalgia pack with cards and cinema tickets from 1960, was about £4, silly badge saying how many days old he is,
ermmmm the red love heart box bottom left contains little pieces of decorative aper in it and it says on the front 50 reasons i love you (awwwwwwwwwwww) instead of a card, we burned a cd of the top 10 from the week he was born and decorated the case, we got him a personalised glass mug and filled it with sweeties, £8, and a personalised coaster like the holywood walk of fame £2
(i added the red bow sticker in PB to hide his real name, i am way younger than 50 and he thinks other people think he is as well:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)0 -

Your hamper looks fab!!! I'm on quite a tight budget as she wants to spend £30 in total so the bottle of wine might be too much really but definitely something to remember when I'm doing something special for my hubby!!0 -
gosh his interest are wide & varied
we have a few joke presents in there, there was a £15 voucher for somewhere like prezzy box, and we got stuff with that, so if you want to have a jibe at his age, you could easily & cheaply make them, a few marbles in a wee bag-since he has lost his, and a piece of sandpaper, the 60+ male wrinkle remover, there is loads of silly things like that
you can print of wine bottle labels you personalize, so a cheaper bottle with the label soaked off would be about £3
as a closet trekkie, i LOVE these, for a fiver
