Home Bargains store finder - http://www.homebargains.co.uk/
For cellophane and bows/ribbon you could look in Hobbycraft - do you have one near you? http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/STOR_MAP/INTRO.htm. I've bought mine from Flower Hour on ebay but I'm pretty sure Hobbycraft sell them.
I just searched for my nearest Home Bargains store as I keep seeing what lovely bargains you ladies get - nearest store Northhampton - I live down in Kent!! Never mind haha.0 -

From a conversation at Toddlers this morning, I have a feeling that DD is going to get christmas pressies from all her pre-school friends arghhhhhhh more expense!!
Does anyone have any ideas for something cheap that can maybe be bought in 'bulk' and put together but that wont look as cheap as it is? So I can just do up lots of the same thing if that makes sense?
Thanks Ladies
Katie
This was posted on hotukdeals I thought it would make a lovely pressie for 41p but you have to order over £5 to qualify for free delivery.

If you scroll down there is also santas reindeer for 41p for the boys
maybe you could order as many as you need and then add something else on cheap to make the £5 order0 -
I've just bought one of these new festive Cath Kidston bags in Tesco...
It went through the till as 'Bikini Paint' (what an earth is this???) and cost £1. I also got 20% off (a Womenswear promotion???) so the bag cost me 80p :T :T :T :T
I don't understand what's happened but I'm not going to complain...
I'm giving mine to my mum but thought it would be good to give pressies in instead of a basket. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I emailed HB a few weeks ago and they do plan to open shops all over the UK, but said it may be a while before they reach London (where I was asking about). Will travel to get to one, but within reason. Am having to make do with stocking up when I go to Stroud and see my family.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

OOoooh! I was hoping the christmas one would be a nice one. That's decided then-I'm off to Tesco later to get some. And some G&B choc so I can get the free book. This site has cost me a fortune! But has also saved me loads too, so I won't complain! :TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

My godson (not the autistic one thats my godsons brother) will be getting his thomas themed box with some sweets and maybe a colouring box or jammas to sort of bulk it out.
My Godsons eldest brother who is 11 in march (has developmental problems , mental age of maybe 7) will get a doctor who themed basket if i can addord it , if not then it will a tranformer sort of basket
Just need to get in to gear and try to track down some cellophane!

As someone else said if you don't want to buy off ebay then you can get cellophane in Lidl at the moment.
For your godson, what about visiting Poundland, they do lots of good kids dvd's and sweets. Primark/Asda/Tesco would be good for pj's.
For your godson's brother again check out Poundland, they have lots of Dr Who goodies, Tesco also has dalek shaped bottle of bubble bath and the bottle is decent enough it could be kept as a toy afterwards. In fact they're better than the proper Dalek models!
