From a conversation at Toddlers this morning, I have a feeling that DD is going to get christmas pressies from all her pre-school friends arghhhhhhh more expense!!
Does anyone have any ideas for something cheap that can maybe be bought in 'bulk' and put together but that wont look as cheap as it is? So I can just do up lots of the same thing if that makes sense?
Thanks Ladies
Katie
Get a 6 pack of coloured plastic beakers from the pound shop and get a couple of packs of sweets seperating them into the cups , and then let ur daughter write there names (if she can write) wrap and doneNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

How about some crayons and a colouring book? Can pick them both up cheaply in most places. Otherwise have you a cheap bookshop nearby? Or the 'book people' usually do sets of 10 books for £10.Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but it's another idea to go in hampers. I've just seen in Asda empty tin cans fully labelled with a coin slot at the top. Various themes, including: Holiday fund, Swear fund, £100 saver etc. I particularly like the "Millionaire's Starter Kit" with boxes to tick on the back when you've saved 50p, £1, £50 and so on, up to £1,000,000 !
They seem good to me at £1 each. I'm going to try a variation on the pot of gold with the Millionaire's one for a 30th birthday this weekend.
Will TRY a photo...... Sorry, probably too big, but better than nothing!0 -
Hi everyone - well done on all the fantastic looking hampers. Have just finished my first one for a friends daughter (will post pics as soon as I can find the camera!) Just need to finish her brothers one (Thomas mad aged 2 1/2) so far have; Thomas aqua draw, finger paint set, hand knitted cardi, chocolate coins just wanted something else drawing wise to go with it! Lots of bits now in different bags just need to sort/wrap and then just got my mum to buy for! She is such a pain - bless her but have an idea of what to get now as her digital radio has just broken - anyone know where to get a cheap (ish) one from? thanks in advance!0
