just remembered I have a couple more hampers to go: my dad and stepmum are moving to new zealand in december, leaving a few weeks apart my dad's birthday is a week before he leaves so was wanting to do a hamoer of things that he could use in the plane since it is a long flight, so far have a sudoku book but that's all.
Am also wanting to do him and my stepmum a joint scottish themed hamper for christmas since they will be in NZ for christmas and we are scottish and was going to add like a collage or something of photos for it. So going to have shortbread, oatcakes, whiskey for the scottish hamper so far so all suggestions welcome
    cheers

    rainmac fab hampers!
I might use some of your ideas for my brother's 40th which means 40 of everything! It's not till january 2010 so I have a while to plan it.
I am making a Doctor Who themed basket for my two. I am just waiting for a couple of books then I think I will put it together. I might even have it done in time to send back with my parents which is where we are spending Christmas. I too wanted to get things that went together and not just get odd things.

thumperandbambi-Have spotted the plain vodka chocs in Home Bargains for 59p, and the cranberry ones in the 99p shop. Just in case you needed any more-or wanted to have something to nibble on whilst making up more hampers...yummy!
Your hampers look fab! Well done!

:T:T:T These are absoulutly amazing everyone:T:T:T

These are ideas i have come up with

I had brought my friends daughter (like a neice to me) a little outfit for christmas but her birthday is 3 days after chrismtas , so i might give her the clothes and some sweets for her birthday .. and then make her a baking basket for christmas , im going to copy your ideas of the mixing bowl for base little wooden spoons , cake mix , little apron and cutters ect :) she is 8 this year so she should like it.. hopefully lol..

My godson (not the autistic one thats my godsons brother) will be getting his thomas themed box with some sweets and maybe a colouring box or jammas to sort of bulk it out.

My Godsons eldest brother who is 11 in march (has developmental problems , mental age of maybe 7) will get a doctor who themed basket if i can addord it , if not then it will a tranformer sort of basket :)

Just need to get in to gear and try to track down some cellophane!
