  • What about the candy canes you get and use them as stirrers? They are not too expensive and you can usually pick a pack up for around £1 with at least 6 in it.

    Just a thought....
  • I found these little baskets in matalan. They were £2.50 each but on 3 for 2 so three worked out at £1.66 ish each.

I am using them for my pot of golds:D

I got some gold wrapped chocs from poundshop called mini mountains - think iceland have them too, split one box between two baskets. Then added a bag of choc coins 99p bogof tesco. I just need a scratch card now but have made small gold envelopes to put them in too.

Each one will cost about £3.66 they are for my DD and OH so I will reuse the baskets for something else next year.

Will add nother photo once they are wrapped.:D

Home Bargains has 18 candy canes for 69p at the mo, while Sainsburys has 12 red santa & green Christmas tree stirrers for £1.49.

If you didn't want to pay postage Sainsburys have some coloured stirrers in.
  • Ok I'm back but bells this time....

For the ladies doing reindeers or even snowmen, I was in Poundland today and as part of their Christmas Decorations they have a rope albeit a thin one with bells on, but bigger than the pictures I've seen on some of your posts for the reindeers.

I thought thought instead of putting the bells on the antlers you could maybe use them round the neck. There was about 20 bells on a rope.

But.... in another section they had bell wreaths, not all too big, maybe 6-7inches across, but again made of bells, all self coloured in either gold or silver as opposed to the red rope one. Am I making sense?? On the wreaths, there must have been at least 40 maybe more bells and I thought it would save you ladies a fair few pennies, even tying a bell or two to the bows for festive fun.

    What do you think ?

Finally the tins of roses / celebrations / quality st etc etc are on in Asda 2 for £7 just in case you didn't know.

Cheekyweegit I used a small bell round the neck of the reindeer anyway.
