    I love this thread

Can I ask a few questions about the fabulous snowman soups? We have our christmas party coming up soon and we are not doing secret santa we are doing stockings. There are 10 of us going and each has a stocking made by one of the girls. We have to put something fun into the stockings which means 10 little things for everyone.

I am going to make the snowmen soups but I want to know where do you get the snowmen stirrers?

And any ideas of any poems or rhymes for the tag
funny ones would be great because me friend is bringing miniture bottles of brandy so she can se hers as a hangover cure x x x

    Thanks guys

  • I have seen the snowmen stirrers in Lakeland.

This is one of verses from the snowman soup thread:

I was told you've been real good this year, always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather drawing near, you'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow, it's sure to do the trick!

  • Hello Ladies (and any gents of course),

I noticed a few of you are looking for High School Musical things, well argos has these bag and purse sets reduced to £9.99 but better still they are on BOGOF. I reserved one for my friend last night or rather two, and she collected them today, one in red and one in blue.

I thought this might help a few of you. The catalogue number is 383/5193 and go to https://www.argos.co.uk

Here's the direct link and just put two in your basket.

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3835193.htm

They also have BOGOF on the HSM pyjamas but only sizes 6-7 and 7-8 at £8.99

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/catalogId/1500001151/partNumber/3835454/Trail/search.htm

These combination safe bankies are also reduced to £6.66 and on BOGOF so could be quite fun for some girlie hampers or even just as a present on their own.

Fingers crossed these images work as I've never done images before... Oh and the bag / purse comes in blue or red.
  • Ok I'm back but bells this time....

For the ladies doing reindeers or even snowmen, I was in Poundland today and as part of their Christmas Decorations they have a rope albeit a thin one with bells on, but bigger than the pictures I've seen on some of your posts for the reindeers.

I thought thought instead of putting the bells on the antlers you could maybe use them round the neck. There was about 20 bells on a rope.

But.... in another section they had bell wreaths, not all too big, maybe 6-7inches across, but again made of bells, all self coloured in either gold or silver as opposed to the red rope one. Am I making sense?? On the wreaths, there must have been at least 40 maybe more bells and I thought it would save you ladies a fair few pennies, even tying a bell or two to the bows for festive fun.

    What do you think ?

Finally the tins of roses / celebrations / quality st etc etc are on in Asda 2 for £7 just in case you didn't know.

M&S are selling chocolate ball and stick type stirrers you could perhaps use in the stockings Wendyphant... I think they may have been about £3.99 but I think there was some kind of offer on them...

some people have been dipping a plastic spoon in melted chocolate a few times to create stirrers themselves...
