pookie - thanks. Hadn't thought of a silk pillowcase.
She has tele in bedroom and lounge and radio/cassette player in lounge but can't use them herself so staff normally put them on for her .
Her hearing isn't so good.......she's always been deaf in one ear .
Rag doll idea would have worked but she's got two teddies - very touchy feely comfort if you know what I mean.............my son bought one and my teenage grandchildren bought the other one last christmas and it never leaves her bed -its always where she can touch it.

Might check out silk pillow case and add to fleece wrap.

  • Mary the everlasting flower arrangements are nice and have come on a long way since years ago. This ( see link) is a nice one but john lewis, M&S and places like au naturale do them much cheaper.

ladypeanut, Re ten yr old anything from Claires Accessories, voucher from Next they like to choose something themselves.

Does she like making things buying a card kit or journal to customise with some stick on jewels, stickers etc.

Also my niece loves playing with hair so a pink hairdryer and goodies would go down well. There is also a little monkey nail varnish dryer 4.99 on amazon plus some nail varnishes.

    Hi

Most people on here buy cellophane from an Ebay seller called Flowerhour, and the muffin cases from bakingfrenzy - if you search on the old thread you'll probably find the link, or someone with a little more time on their hands might be able to find them for you :) Baskets are from Morrisons, Au Naturel, B&M, Home Bargains, Wilkinsons, Tesco, Quality Save, Instore - all over really!

    Good luck :)

  • sorry Mary 43 how about a photo frame with recorded message from the family. Also seen a patchwork quilt with family pictures stuck on using photo transfer paper. That was lovely all the children, grandchildren etc..

Vicki the cases for muffin are from baking frenzy and the cello both ebay. Baskets from 99p store, matalan, au naturale and Home and bargains.

brookeslay - be a job to get all the family together to record anything and the patchwork quilt sounds lovely but time isn''t on my side I'm afraid and wouldn't know where to start.
Don't worry, think I'm about sorted with the wrap and pillowcase -thanks for that:o
