Today my best friend has had her offer accepted on her first ever house! We were so excited !!!!
So, I need to make her a 'Happy New Home Hamper' do you wonderful ladies have any ideas?
I have been racking my brains and I came up with :
Maybe something for the first week in the new home - wine and chocs and a plant type thing or an essentials hamper - things she prob wouldnt have thought of as she has always lived with her parents.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. You can stand there and agonize........

You could fill a washing up bowl with cleaning goodies and essentials like kitchen roll, toilet roll, teabags, coffee, sugar, long life milk, dusters, lightbulbs etcshouldn't cost much to put together either ... people always forget the essentials when they move house, generally they are packed but more often that not when leaving home for the first time then she is even more likely to forget

How about washing up liquid, toilet brush
smoke alarm, microfibre dusters, key ring, change of address cards, extension cable, stamps, shopping list pad and pen, cookery book, tub of salt and pepper, bottle of sauce, ice cube tray, shopping trolley token, shopping bags, plastic bag holder.......
Run out of ideas now - :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Thanks to 'Kandiipandi' I made 2 home movie hampers today. I was really chuffed with them... thanks again Kandi for sharing your idea and helping inspire me. I made one each for my niece and nephew (twins who were 18 today)
I got the DVD boxes from Poundstretcher (Instore) £2.49 each but were on 3 for 2 offer (they had pale pink, black, white and cream)
I went into my favourite shop (Home Bargains) and bought big red plastic tubs of popcorn (99p) and individual crisp size bags of original flavour pringles.
I had already bought some cider and wine and I put a personlised lable on the bottles.
Also included were a block of personalised chocolate and a plain glass jar for each of them filled with celebrations with a personalised treats lable.
And last but not least Kandi's great idea of a blank dvd case with their Birthday money inside.
I bought a roll of the white spot sellophane and a couple of rolls of poly ribbon from a local florist and then came the mammoth task of trying to wrap them lol. Do you sellotape the sides to make them look presentable as I ended up doing this with mine to try and get it to look right lol.
I made my own pom pom bows with the poly ribbon and I was pretty pleased with how they turned out.
I also gave them each an A4 size personalised credit crunch gift certificate .. which basically had 18 x 1p coins stuck on it in the shape of a number 18.
I will post the pics in the next few days as soon as I get chance to upload them.
Thanks again for sharing your brilliant ideas.0
