Brilliant suggestions guys - im gonna scribble them all down - I think I'll do a hamper (a laundry basket) with cleaning/essentials in and another one with first night stuff in - wine, takeaway voucher etc.
If you come up with anything ill add it to my list - Im excited again as since christmas I have been a bit gutted that I have had nothing to make.
Cumbrian.. Im glad you made the movie hampers, mine went down so well and its lovely to have made someting with a bit of thought rather than just bunging a tenner in a card.

Just letting you know that I am 'pinching' this idea - OH loves Top Gear and wanted to do something special as its his 40th
I have a couple of months yet and at the mo I'm making a hamper for my FIL's partner, it seems to be taking on a nail/hand pamper theme. I shall defo post piccies this time as I never got to at christmas and I was so chuffed with them all, as were my family and friends.

Excellent Idea bec5670 - im off to the shops today to see whats about - I think it might take a good few weeks before she moves in so that gives me loads of time to shop!!!
So far i got 4 energy saving lightbulbs for £1, two Mr Muscle Sprays - windows and bath for £1 they were on offer in Asda.
I also started knitting a couple of dishcloths ( I make my own and they last forever).You can stand there and agonize........

Sorry if its a silly question but can someone tell me how to post pics? I made two hampers for january birthdays. A boys night in for my brother and a movie hamper for my friend thanks to inspiration from everyone on here! If possible would like to share them with you in the hope they may help inspire someone else too!! Thanks in advance x0

You need to upload them to a website first - something like photobucket, which is free. Then copy the URL of the pic accross using theApril Grocery Challenge £81/£1200
