Lol, you're welcome, I think I would struggle with doing anywhere near as much as you but if I can make suggestions of things other people can do then I am more than happyGod is good, all the time

really stuck on her husband though. He's a Formula One/Grand Prix chap and his birthdays Feb 4th:eek: So far I've got nothing !!
Do you know about the love languages theory Mary? There is probably something he would appreciate maybe more than a straighforward gift, if he is a wordy person maybe a book about friendships, or a beautifully written letter telling him what you appreciate about him, if he is a quality time person maybe a hamper with things they can do as a couple, movie night etc, fast and the furious, some beers and popcorn... if he is an acts of service person maybe some vouchers for something you do well, like a cooked meal, or fixing some clothes for him or something. Just a suggestionGod is good, all the time

sian - thanks. He's a bit of a 'doer' -apart from when Formula one is on or Grand Prix he;s always wanting to be doing something - does like his beer so maybe a night in type box of goodies would suit him.
They moved into their cottage (lovely it is) last year so there's a lot to do but its really his wife who's the painter/decorator in the house...........lol
Rusty - glad OH liked his hamper.............hope he knows how spoilt he is............lol Wish him happy birthday from me :j :j :jMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

What about making one of those spoof photos where you put his head onto a formula one star and then get it printed as a jigsaw or something?God is good, all the time

sian - that sounds like a 'fun' idea but am running out of time........his birthday is Feb.4th........ Might be worth bearing in mind for christmas though.
I'll see what our little motor shop has tomorrow..........needs to be something fairly cheap and cheerful -or a few cheapie things to put in a shoe box.Mary

I love this thread! I think I'll be reading for a week to catch up on all the posts! I made my mum and step dad a joint hamper for xmas and they loved it, my mum didn't want to open it at first cos she didn't want to ruin the wrapping
Once my boyfriend saw the hamper he decided to do a similar one for his parents too. I think I could quite easily get addicted to making them.
I've just got a quick question though, I know it's probably been mentioned before but I'm still reading through the posts. Where is best to buy cheap baskets or containers for the hampers, I got my mum's from home bargains but my local one has just closed. Also I want to make my step sis a movie night in hamper - what do you think I could use as a container - I have a DVD (3 in 1), popcorn, pringles, choc and drinks, so I don't think a basket would do it justice. Any suggestions?0 -

Hey Taya! Be warned - this thread is very addictive! My OH has given up and just sits in the corner rocking because I don't feed him anymore! :rotfl: For your movie night hamper, how about using a DVD storage box of some description? I did one for my Mum and Dad in one from Wilko (£1.99) and was quite pleased with itI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
thevicstar sorry this is off topic but your easter smiley gave me a chuckle lol. It looked rather rude when I did not look at it properly. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0

Finally managed to have a bit of spare time to try out my new crimper
I haven't filled it as yet as they will be no good for easter but I plan to fill with some kind of chocky and probably some kind of nuts or toffee for OH's easter hamper.
Rather than twisting I am just crimping the top and bottom. Oh and the daffodil I made myself ... you can tell :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty - that's brilliant !!:T Daffodil is perfect:TMary
