Oh dear Rusty, I am sure they will love it so much it will all seem worthwhile in the end.

Planning a nappy cake for a lady at work who is going on maternity leave, any tips? (I know it isn't a strictly a basket but would like help on what to include) :)

Sian, loads of pictures and ideas on this thread... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=565879&highlight=nappy+cake

This has probably been asked a hundred times so I apologise, but could someone direct me to a good place to buy reasonably priced baskets please. I am looking for wicker/bamboo type baskets, the sort of size that rolls in a restaurant are served in. I have a website for Candigifts whose baskets are reasonably priced but when you add the £6.99 p&p it works out a bit pricey. I am trying to keep the costs as low as possible as I will be selling the finished baskets for charity, so any help will be much appreciated, thank you.
    TIA

Hi Squidgeum poundstretchers at the moment have 25% off all their baskets making some of them cheap at just £1.49, lots of variety aswell. Morrisons do baskets, asda occasionally do them, instore, au naturale, tescos, local florists. Oh and wilkinsons aswell :)

If you want to keep the costs as low as possible then you could use a shoe box or even trim down a full size box and cover it in paper. I did this for a few at christmas and they looked great.

This isn't going to sound right but can you sort of put the dressing gown in the basket at the back and have it sticking up so the whole of it isn't inside (cos it doesn't fit) and pop the other bits at the front? Does that make any sense...? So it's in the basket but not all of it.

I tried it like that aswell ... I think I need to find a bigger basket and try again :rotfl: Was trying not to have to buy a bigger one!

Thanking you :) have added you on the group ;)

Rusty - I'm sure you could cover a box and make it look lovely and get the dressing gown in. Don't go to the expense of buying another basket if you don't need to.

Pleased you're all still about on here .............can you imagine if I was left here all on my own:confused: I'd end up replying to myself.............:rotfl:
