  • Could anyone suggest what I could line my hampers with? I found some jute bags and I'm putting in it some organic juice, fudge, shortbread and chocolates, and thought it might look a bit odd just putting it all in the bag. Should I try to pad it out with tissue paper or something like that, or, do you think it will look ok without it?
  • Morning all,

I did a coffee hamper for Oh its a male one added demera sugar cubes as he likes to dunk and accompany the coffee with a cognac. O whittard cigar aswell. I`m making some shortbread not not sure how long this keeps (??). A box of bendicks after dinner mints yummy !

You can get some nice coffee or expresso fudge too. A couple of coasters too. The list is endless also i think there is a little coffee book of tips aswell i`ll try and find a link.

    Morning bunbun and all :)

There's a pic that I posted on th old thread of those sewing baskets (£1.99) if that's any good to anyone? Click here for pics: #5924 I didn't see any kits though.

Not sure if they still have any as the post is a bit dated now, but worth a look? hth :)

sorry passion8 - those were the baskets I was thinking of! I think it was mentioned a while ago on the HB thread about a sewing kit, so you could buy the 2 seperately.

Could you pack it with heaps of shredded paper/crumpled up bubble wrap and have a lucky dip type bag?

Oh the irony! Just been to Asda to get the items for my "Tea for Two" tray that Im doing(see previous posts) Well I was so pleased........I got Assam tea for £1, a lovely mini panettone for £1 and two mugs. I also got lots of chocs in the reduced bit, I'll wrap them up in nice cello and bows. Felt very smug, then got home and dropped the bl**y mugs on the path and broke them! Thought I'd givE you all a chuckle at that! So much for money saving!!
Also spotted Asda Smart Price wicker baskets, £8 for three, they're quite big, so I thought Id pass it on.

I only sew when I really have to and have my sewing stuff in a shoe box! I have just made a sock monkey (a real achievement for me!!!) and the box is all in a bit of a mess so i might invest in a sewing box!
