  • I have just been admiring the hampers on the piccie thread. I have made a couple for friends.:j

I am also going to make one for a Christmas Eve movie night for my kids.
Can I just ask, some of the hampers are in baskets with a kind of chalkboard on them, where do you get them from please? I am sure it must say somewhere in this thread but it is too long to go right through
A dog is for life not just for Christmas.
    How about a rescue dog?

It's Matalan-£3. But it was a while ago, so you might struggle to find them now. Ask in store though, as they may be out the back, due to lack of space with all the xmas stock.

If you don't have a Matalan (I don't), QD have them in a rectangular shape rather than tall upright shape, same bright colours. Can't remember the individual cost, but they were 5 for £10 I think. I can check if it's crucial!
  • Thank you, I will have a look in Matalan :)

There is no QD near me.

Wow some fab ideas, thankyou so much! Especially love the money box idea, and the festival survival kit is fab! You've definitely just given me a good idea with the coffee - I can buy him beans because he's got a coffee machine which I'd forgotten about, he doesn't use filter coffee anymore, doh! Aw those Bobby Pin things are absolutely beautiful if a tad bit expensive. :( Shame! Same goes with Benefit make up.. if I bought some I'd be too tempted to nab it for myself! :rotfl:

Hi Tilly, I'm doing a coffee & chocolate type of hamper for my brother & girlfriend, I've put in a new mug each & filled it with sweets, coffee beans from whittard, "biscuit curls" - like brandy snap shape but a biscuit if that makes sense - they were £1.99 for two boxes in M&S, a "hangover cure" novelty coffee again from whittard & some of their favourite chocolate - choc orange etc.. hth!
  • tillyroo boots sell the bobbypin range on their 3 for 2. Some cheapish bits. :)

How about putting your mums hamper in a reusable shopping bag instead of a basket or including a shopping bag as she likes shopping? Tescos do sweet ladybird ones for £1 or boots were selling a nice cream/pink one for £3 for charity. Also how about adding a £5 gift card and add a note like 'Here's a little something to kickstart your january sales bargain hunting?' :)
