I'd start phoning at 4.30. They'll close at 5 or 5.30 so I'd get onto to them now rather than Monday. THey may tell you to wait, but I'd get on it sooner rather than later.0 -

You don't seem to understand that the people on this helpline are completely useless and indifferent to your plight and they won't do anything at all until the email is at least a week or so late. They certainly don't seem to have the capacity to look up individual accounts or take any proactive action to re-send another copy of the email to you.
Sending an email to the CEO of the FSCS might result in more action in due course.0 -
I think it's best to give them a call, then there can be no excuses on their part. just rang them as I have not received my email and they said someone would give me a call back. not sure why they're ringing back but atleast it's logged that I havn't received the email. The chap took my name, account number and phone number.0

I haven't got my email nor has my wife (both Plus Net, checked spam - not there either). I phoned the FSCS 5 minutes ago and nobody is answering the phone, just recorded messages saying to phone back next week.0

Update on the FSCS website
http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/
First Icesave emails out (7 November)
FSCS is working hard to prepare the accelerated payout process.
The first emails to UK customers of Icesave (which explain how the process will work) have gone out over the last few days and many consumers have been contacting FSCS to thank us. Some people have also been in touch to say that they have not received the first email from FSCS.
We would now like to ask anyone who has not yet received the first email to contact us using a special email address set up for this purpose.
Please email us, using the email address used for your Icesave account, at Icesave@fscs.org.uk if you have not received the first email.
A blank email is all you need to send to generate an automated response from us which contains the first email. You do not need to provide any additional information. Please acknowledge your copy of the first email by sending a blank response to confirm you have received it. This is very important because it will allow us to double check your email address on the system.0 -

Clearly a lie. Why would anyone thank them for the news they are to be diddled out of several weeks interest by the FSCS. They were trying to spin the usual abusive call centre line that most people had got the email and that only a few awkward cusses like me were complaining they hadn't when I called. I asked what proof they had that most people had got the email. Their answer to this - silence. We would now like to ask anyone who has not yet received the first email to contact us using a special email address set up for this purpose.

I ask again why did they not send this communication by post as well as by email to ensure that depositors did receive it.0
