Blummin eck, 25 pages since I last logged on!!! well have to admit I skim read most of it and won't bother with my twopennorth as we've done this all before and the glitches keep on coming peeps :D (Although I do think in this case we've shot ourselves in the foot by constantly re-advertising the naughtiest glitches on every page and discussing them at length lol)

I would second everything Polls said though-words of wisdom as usual

Ok, got my No7 GWP and happily it has Milan nail colour in it, not clear. Huge thanks to Buffy for pointing out the two ACM eyeliner vouchers as that worked a treat :)

Oh and speaking of abusing glitches, whoever cleared SHeffield out of all the N07 bathing, highlighter and star pallettes and cheap suncare........Spoilsports!!!:p

Credit to RedBalloon really, she posted it a few minutes before me (think I was busy dribbling over my new star highlighter :rotfl:

I am off to Meadowhall Friday and woould like to get the compact mirrors + gwp. I have one pinkie and one ts.

Does anyone know if Meadowhall have any in stock ? and can I use both pinkie and ts ? Thanks

I didn't go to Meadowhall last weekend, but did the few weeks before and they haven't had those in for a couple of months now, so I wouldn't go specially.

Let me know if you see star palettes there, as I AM going there specially for them tomorrow ...

    Hi Melgirl,
I'm doing presents for 4 children- 3 girls as they are easiest and 1 boy as they seem to be harder to get volunteers for. If you email them I'm sure they will be delighted to assign you as many children as you like lol. Remember to say if you would prefer a girl or a boy, and the approximate ages.
Thanks for your support hun :D

Finally caught up; too late in the morning (and in life) to care about the implications of being totally honest and open in my thoughts.

I'm worried about the fact that the highlighted bold red lettering for glitches (sat on hands not to highlight in bold and red!) is being singled out for critcism, on the grounds that it lets Mr B find glitches

    Why?

Because that was one of the compromises put forward during 'chatgate' - which followed on from 'nappygate'.

The 'chatgate' reasoning was "if some peeps want to chat, and some peeps want to follow the glitches, why not highlight the glitches, so that the peeps who don't want to read three pages of personal chat and flirting can just pick out the glitches, and the chatter/flirters can chat/flirt to their hearts' content".

'Nappygate' ran along similar lines (as I remember it). A glitch was shared among a number of people - who were identified through cryptic messages here. They placed their orders (as related on here) before the glitch was shared publicly.

When the glitch was addressed, the blame was placed on 'lurkers'.

    Right!!

No one would have picked up that something was afoot...

'Regular posters', in on the glitch, only ordered one item each...

    and so on.

One of the causes of discontent at the time of nappygate was the fact that another site was being used to host criticism of posters on here (and the ubiquitous 'lurkers').

I'm afraid that I'm not convinced by the arguments for 'going underground'.

And - puts neck conspicuously on chopping block - when sharing personal details on the internet, I would prefer to do so with a more or less nationally recognised website, headed by a publically identifiable person.

The idea that I might be sharing my personal information with someone who is only known to me as a pseuodnym on the web is much less attractive.

    My personal opinion only.

But that is, for me, a very strong reason for preferring to be a member of MSE, rather than becoming a member of an 'underground', yet publicly advertised facebook group.

totally agree- alot of people seem to think they know and can trust each other but we are all on here under a pseudonym and could be anyone! I could be a 37 year old male profit protection manager for Boots and no one would be any the wiser. Just because I may have given a name and address to send a voucher does not mean I am really Mrs Blah.
I think if we are all a little less 'over the top' in our postings we will find Boots might be a little less interested and as a bonus we may find fewer duplicate postings and it will be easier to find what is new.
Just my opinion not aimed at anyone in particular.

    Hi image3 :) Me thinks I see you're thinking here missy..... :p

Yes, you will get all your points back no probs. You NEED your receipt though as without it you would just get an exchange for the value of whatever the item is instore that day...
But with a receipt, yep, full refund back to your card in points (if it's Non cosmetic/skincare that is) and within 28 days.

    xx
    Great you are an :A
