Had a good result today, DS bought a tshirt form the net for £17 - a new spiderman one and after 1 wash it looks dreadful, all the colour has gone from it but they emailed straight back with a full refund:T so he can spend the cash on something else.

My friend who I have mentioned is still in hospital, her liver is much better but she now needs more tests for other symptoms. The hospital is over an hours drive away so its difficult to get to see her but I managed it Friday and some other friends are going tonight.

Good Morning All
Its raining this morning for a change,,,, but it is warmer
Ihave just put the wheelybin out for this week and it is full of garden rubbish ,,we used to have garden recycling but it was stopped they probably thought there would be no garden rubbish in the autumn and winter,,whereas there is quite a bit more , what with the trees needing to be pruned and the bushes trimmed as well ,,our compost bins are full and there is no room for any more bins or we would have had another ..
I forgot to put the DW on last night so will do that after breakfast,
Have quite a bit of washing as well so will get that done soon ,,dont know where I will dry it but it does need to be done
Blairweech,, loved the cabinet..I used to have one when my kitchen was a lot smaller ,, I do regret getting rid of it
Making Shepherds pie today ,,made the mash last night for our dinner and made enough for today as well
Anyway see you later

Evil cat has been to the vets, and they stay that her kidneys are a little creaky - showing the very very very very early signs of failure. We are supposed to put cranberry flavoured aloe vera on her food (that is not an exaggeration or comic name, it really is cranberry flavoured aloe vera). Plus something powdery.
OS cat food - I have always used a reputable brand, believing that the better quality cat food means better health especially as evil cat is a house cat and until very recently didn't go out at all so mouse supplements are quite rare. However, this is evil cat, who begs for food. She begs and begs and begs and after she has knocked stitches off knitting needles, shoved her rear into your face with force, purred over the denoument of a murder mystery, tried to sit on your book, been the wrong side of the door with repeated gusto (which always wakes little bear from naps) and been licking your arm every time you relaxed your guard, she gets fed. I put down about two teaspoons of food which she usually sniffs and then walks away from. That food will still be there when she starts the repeat performance and I have to be so strict with myself to pick it up even though it is actually fresh, because it will not be eaten and if neglected will end up wiggly  Now we are supposed to add jollop to her food three times a day. Does anyone have any suggestions. Last night she even left tuna!
Also, at the vets, they rang dear heart to see if he could collect her early because she was so scared. The vets are actually very caring. Dear heart couldn't collect her because of work. He was upset he had failed evil cat, and I confess I was a little sad as well, though I wouldn't be after one of her bravura performances about food!
I confess to looking forward to hearing about Hester's lodger.

Working from home today so have stripped the bed and got the linen in the WM.
We're off on holiday on Friday for a week so I'm using up food in the freezer - think today it's chilli but who knows until it's defrosted.
I'm making a chicken curry from Jamie Oliver's book using some lovely filleted thighs (ys stuff from Sainsbury's) so will refreeze it in portions and take it with us (got self catering cottage in a very remote part of Scotland).
Now back to the 'working from home' bit!

Good morning!
Returned from a very cold Scotland on Saturday and have been trying to catch up since! In the middle of trying to sort out all the summer clothes and put them in the attic, need the extra space for jumpers!
Big kids all back off to school today, dd3 at home though. So have done packed lunches, dw, bm and yoghurt. Need to do some ironing, pah!
Dinner tonight will be chinese curry, curtesy of the stir fry veg I picked up cheap yesterday, the cheap limes will be used in my g&t at the weekend! Always good to have a plan!
Need to get remaining piles of clothes away now, hoover and strip my bed. Will attempt a catch up later, have a good day all, hugs to any and all in need, congrats where due, and I hope I haven't missed too much whilst I was away! xGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
:hello: Good Morning!
Foggy start here in the south east! Must get wrapped up soon and walk Penny!
Hopefully I have a parcel turning up later as i have done a bit of Christmas shopping from ebay this year and saved some pennies!:j
Also have someone from freecycle round later to take Mr C's old office chair away. He hasn't bought a new one though just prefers his old comfy one (complete with a strip of gaffer tape round the edge of seat!) that his office were throwing out!:rotfl: Bless!
Today is make the mincemeat day! Everything is in the larder and I have purloined some of Mr C's single malt as well (he has plenty and really doesn't drink very much) whisky mincemeat is really lovely and offsets the sweetness well.
I have also started a storecupboard challenge, only £50 allowed for necessities. Got to save up for this wedding now! lol! :j :j :j
We had Curried red lentil soup yesterday and it was lovely, loads left for today!
have a lovely day
(((hugs))) to pennypincher
