Tesco (Castle Lane Bournemouth) had some last night. Some with Ninetendo dogs and a red one with Brain training going for £116.00 (less a £5,00 voucher)0

yogini108 I returned a black bundle to gamestation today ( sonic & mario olympics ). I know I am not local to you but just so you know to call the stores as people are returning them too ( occasionally )
Blockbster have been getting them in too.
Have you tried a Zavvi store ( if you have one locally )0 -
Can I pick someone's brains as to game choices - I have vouchers for the console at Argos, and they have several games bundles to choose from. We (DH and I) would like brain training, but I also want to get something the kids can use - they are 7 and 5.
On a couple of the current TV adverts I've seen what looks like a kids Brain Training type game(s) - where they have to solve simple puzzles, write numbers etc - which would be ideal for my two reluctant learners - but I don't know what they are/which game(s) do this - help?
I know it's not quite the right thread, but there seem to be so many responses on here from people hunting these things down, I thought it would be a good place to ask.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
I think this one is Maths training - http://www.game.co.uk/DS/Puzzle/~r333387/Professor-Kageyamas-Maths-Training/?s=maths%20training at Game (just for comparison) - definitely aimed at the lower age bracket so probably perfect for your purposes!
As for sharing a DS - I suspect birthday presents will become DSs in the future, it's too much fun to put down, and you can play together if you have more than one! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks to missingink, sealady and hogshead for the help.
I went to Toys R Us (Purley Way, Croydon) last night and saw that they had quite a few DS consoles in stock under the £109 deal of console plus game.
Also possibly some other bundle deals in stock. I have to admit that I didn't look closely at what games they had in stock, to go in with those deals though.
You may be shocked to learn that in terms of my own quest to buy a DS, I gave up (just before going to Toys R Us and discovering they had some in stock - downer!) and bought something else for my son. Well he did say to Father Christmas that he would like a games console "if he can manage"! So lets hope Son is happy with a Tribot instead, plus a couple of games for his anceint-but-doing-fine Gamecube. Oh well, his birthday is in May so maybe the new DS Lite will be out by then, or maybe the DSs's will be cheaper and more freely available anyway!
Good luck to all those DS hunters out there!

Waterstones are selling DS Lites in some of their stores. You would need to check your local store.
Hope this helps.I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -

Could be Big Brain Academy. Been after that myself for DD(8)-seems like a good, 'entry level' educational game but fun too. HTH:D0 -
I have ordered a ds lite from littlewoods direct using a £30 code and quidco which makes it a good deal but it won't arrive until feb:p . lucky for me my daughter's birthday is then so what i want to know is does it come with charger(s) as i see that the accessories pack come with chargers which makes me wonder whether i need to buy one separately? i also have a £30 kays code that they sent me so i could use that to buy the accessories pack if required. i've bought a case from woolies so don't really need all the other bits.
thanks.0 -
It comes with the charger - most of the time the chargers you get in the accessory packs are for use in a car. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
