Right after considering it last night and all day today I think I will be going just for the day :j However this is all dependant on having holiday cover in work. I will find that out tommorow as my manager had a day off today. Obviously my budget will be tight but I would love to go to this. I shall keep you updated :j0
-
Ok after a couple of emails its seems like I may have a partner to share with, actually the fab person I wanna meet :j So the room would only be £40. So all together it will be £90 sat, £25 evening, £90 sunday, £40 room = £245  Then there will be taxis from that train station to the inn and back on sunday night
Obviously this is still dependant on getting the time off work  What do you think? Will it work? Is it worth it? Is it too much especially as I am off on holiday this month?0 -
It certainly sounds worth it, PaP - and if anyone can make it work, you can.

Well work wont let me have it off  Aparently most holidays are being rejected and they wont allow me just the weekend off anyways. So I said if I put the whole week in what would you do? They said they would reject it too ~ which makes my arguement why have holidays/allow holidays if there is restrictions on it
The only way I can do it is swap weekends with someone so effectively I have to work 3 weekends in a row  I am so mad.0 -

Same thing at ASDA, PaP.:mad:
One of my colleagues phoned to see if I would cover for him in October  as he had the chance of a cheap holiday and they (ASDA) told him that the only way was to swap like you. I told him that I couldn't commit myself that far in advance, but would happily do it if I'm still there, but he needed to know immediately or he would 'lose' the holiday.
I feel sorry if he does lose the holiday, but I really couldn't commit myself. Now he probably thinks I'm a right miserable so and so.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Rog, pants isnt it. I guess I wont be going but also at this rate I will lose all next years holidays. What makes me even more made is they are spending millions of refitting the store yet they wont pay 8hours overtime for me not to be there
Why does a company offer holiday when you arnt allowed to take it? Yet all the mangers/supervisors have been fly to LA and India these last few months

Ok after calming down and thinking things through I am going to give in gracefully and just decide not to go. If need be I will just arrange to go and see Monica later in the year. It also means I wont feel too guilty for going to a craft fair in September. Also on a postive note Argos will be payed quicker :j
*now I am going to delated all my money stuff up there, just incase you wonder why :rotfl:*0 -
Sorry, disagree wth you on this one.
Why should you not go?
They surely cant do that.
