Beanie, they didnt have any. I will go back maybe on payday to see if they have anymore though
Ok so mini update. Got the £12.00 refund on the trousers and spent £1 of it on playdoh. Basically it does the same thing as something thats £14. I also spent £2.17 on postage and £2 on some chocPaypal paid out on the 1st but I have only just checked  I have been naughty though and brought a stamp set for £2 + £1.30 p&p
However considering thats been my only craft purchase for ages I dont see it as a big problem. Oh and I also got 8p from quidco :rotfl:
So I will be paying £50.29 off my laptop in a few minutes and that then leaves £14.30 in my purse. Apart from a couple large letter stamps I need nothing till after payday. I am working 7 days untill payday but many of those are only for 4 hours a day so no need to buy lunch etc. The days I do need lunch I will be taking it with me. Also some days I am planning to walk home to save a bus ticket :j
So thats me. I guess I wont be updating now untill monday due to the forum being down. I dont think it will be a huge problem for me but just now I find I am reading more and more posts outside dfw. That I think I will miss, never mind though
Have a great weekend all :T0 -
Were home :j
Hi all, so the weekend has passedby with no mseI didnt do too badly though. So money wise I am now down to £1.70 I think  A close friend in work brought me an easter egg so a quick call to mum and I have 'brought' the easter eggs for her children plus her birthday gift. Ohhh everything happens at once :rotfl: Also I was naughty and brought my lunch etc  Nevermind hey...
I have also started back at my online weight management site. I have been using a free one for a while because of the money situation but the support isnt there. My usual one has a forum and help teams that I am missing, in the last 8 weeks I have gained so much just because someone isnt there. So I will be adding £10 a month to my outgoings now but its sooo worth it :j
So thats me... only 5 days left to work before my holiday :j0 -
Ok I am back :rotfl:
Right I need to write this and hopefully someone may advise if this is 1) common sense 2) works out 'ok' 3) totally and completly not going to happen. So here goes....
The young lady I purchase my su club each month has decided to do a retreat. Basically its a overnight stay with classes etc that you can attend. There will be no way on earth I can stay overnight as it would be too expensive but... they are doing day delegates. So I would love to go for the day (8.30am ~ 6pm including lunch) and the evening but thats £90 + £25So a bit expensive. So but I think the day would be fine, also the trains so far are cheaper returning at 7pm than 11pm. I will then need to train it there and back which is searching (because it doesnt go upto that date yet) as anything from £16 to £105. So thats a total of anything to £220
So what do you think. I think for the price its a bit ott especially as thats £180+ that I can save instead. However I would like your opinions on it if I could. What would you do?
Thanks :A0 -
I actually think it would be great for you & I actually think u should consider staying over.

Would it be much more expensive to stay over, PaP?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Beanie/Rog staying over would be £80 for the room (I have no one to share with) and dinner/breakfast plus another £90 for the following day  I dont think I can stretch that far. Each day is diferent classes, I am sure you may get some stamps and stuff to take home too but cant be 100%. I dont see any point staying over and then not going the next day. Its all set in a hotel so thats why the prices are a bit high ~ even at a reduced rate. Su is stamping up, its an american company finally made it unto the uk. Its simmaler to ann summers/candle partys but with craft stuff. However I dont have a party instead we have virtual type ones so in 10 months one of you will be a host and get the benifits. This is now the only craft stuff I buy at about £21 a month.
I need to let her know by at least Tuesday and I would love to go but the cost is putting me off a bit. So I am unsure what to do. I will also have to book that weekend as a holiday too :rolleyes:0 -
Would she mind if you said you would stay over for now, but change it to just the day at a later date? My thinking is that if staying is cheaper than the train tickets, then stay over, but if not and you don't mind travelling, just go for the day

I understand your dilemma, PaP - just seems a pity that it's so expensive.
I think that the one day option is probably the most suitable option.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Sarah, the train tickets will be a tad cheaper because I will be going at a 'daytime' travel but i would be doing that if I just went the one day. I cant change it as there are 50 spaces each day and once they are gone thats it. If I say I will go for the weekend then they cant fill it I would be stuck paying it all anyways
She is doing me a huge favour allowing me to pay monthly anyways (she suggested it). One of the big problems too is she is from Hull area and this is in Guilford so its less of a trek to meet her anyways
Rog, I think the one day would be the only option. I would be fine traveling late at night but I feel Mum wont be too happy considering it involves changes too. When I first saw the message and the price I thought ~ no way but I am just trying to think through a way I could try and go. I think the one day will be the answer
Not 100% sure yet though...0 -
