Just picked up this response from Telegraph....am absolutely disgusted!

Further to your email, I have been in touch with Robell and they have advised me that all Telegraph Customers, who collected the tokens and sent off for the Goody Bag have received thier orders. As you took this offer up online and not via the Telegraph newspaper, all I can suggest is that you contact Robell directly as I am unable to assist you further concerning this issue.

Edit: Fully intend to telephone Telegraph tomorrow to ask for an explanation (did see it in the paper, but decided to go for the easy route....wish I hadn't now). And will call Robell as well.
 Bloody cheek. If they don't want to deal with the fallout from their promotion then they should make sure that you can only get their offers with tokens.

I'm still waiting for a boy & girl one, but I think the response from the Telegraph is justified (assuming that everyone still waiting applied online like me and did not collect the tokens om the telegraph).
I realised when I did the offer that it would be a bit of a risk as we were applying online where there was a bit of a glitch in the system as we didn't need to send off the tokens. I am sure everyone who hasn't got their bags will get them soon and if they don't they will be refunded.
My money was taken on 4.11.08 and I agree its a bit annoying as I could really do with that £7 today, but it is the season of good will, and I can understand why its taken so long as they received so many orders.
Please don't all shout at me!! ;)
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

You are a very lovely person :A , no-one will shout at you. I'm usually nice, but this experience has tested me a little.

have to agree if we asked them to send us something and we'll pay them in 6 weeks they would laugh at us more than they are now!
Im known as the 'Fixer' if you have a problem, come to me and i can fix it for you.
  • hmmm I wasn't aware that you were supposed to collect tokens....I probably wouldn't have ordered if I had known, so where did the code come from? Why were we allowed to order, when it seems it was against the rules of the promotion?

  • I ordered two goody bags online, but we did buy the Telegraph, so in theory you could say I collected the tokens. My mam ordered one bag and hers arrived yesterday so I was really disappointed when mine still didnt turn up. I emailed the company on Sunday and still havent received a response. If they had bothered to email back I might have been less peeved at them. I will be writing to the Telegraph to complain regardless of whether the bags turn up or not.

I just want to say that the goody bags are not worth £30 no where near it. Dissapointing really so when you get them dont get your hopes up

Still waiting here too - order shows as ordered 2/11/08 - all merchandise shipped (so far as I remember payment was taken 4/11) but it has shown this status for weeks.

I'm really disgusted at the company not dispatching in order of orders placed - surely that would have made more sense!

I had hoped to save money on stocking fillers with this, but it was the scooby & thomas items that i really wanted - I probably could have bought them with the money the postage cost (boy+girl bag)

Now we'll end up with the tat from the back of the drawer - if it ever arrives.

the company have sent me details of other offers - they are having a laugh aren't they! This is certainly no way to get repeat business.

I am in the same position as many others, ordered two bags- cant remember which ones! Money taken on 4/11 and order status showing shipped for 3 weeks but still no bags:mad:

I'm a bit annoyed that it wasnt made clearer anywhere that this was a token offer and that it was a glitch that let us order with the code without the tokens. I thought it was a code printed in the paper that we were using in the same way as anyone who had bought or seen a copy of the Telegraph?

I for one would not have ordered if I had known that tokens were supposed to be involved and I didnt have them.

None the less, there is no question that we should all have our money refunded if we are not going to receive the bags. Robell were happy enough to take our money whether we adhered to the rules or not so whilst they could argue that we are not entitled to the bags (doesnt sound like they're worth having anyway) we should receive our money back, in fact they should never have taken our money in the first place.

This is a real live and learn one! I'm going to leave it until next week and if nothing by then I will join the mass of people calling for their money back.

    What a nightmare!!
