so why didn't they state "while stocks last" instead of continuing to take orders, sending out tat and fobbing us off?

Actually, they stopped allowing new orders on 5th November, so the promotion ran for 2 days - 3rd to 5th November. Look at post #107 on page 4 or 5.

It's quite obvious to me as a bog standard consumer that they got far more orders than they could handle, as people who would never have seen the offer got hold of it.

Until the 16th December, you are not being fobbed off. Apparently (as I never saw the telegraph ad), they stated in the ad that orders would be fulfilled by 16th December. It's cheeky to decide that they are not living up to their promises as you have other expectations, as you probably never saw the telegraph either.

And most people have been happy with what they received. Did you really expect to get expensive stuff? The company obviously has to scale down their offer or else go bankrupt trying to fulfil a massive overorder.

I'd rather I had my order cancelled than yet another company go down the tubes. It looks like the people who received their stuff first got the best stuff. Thems the breaks, and to whinge and moan about it is pathetic.

They never itemised what we would get. They just had a picture of the type of stuff we would get, so they have not lied.

LOL!!! So you pay money for an offer and then we are supposed to be happy because the company haven't got enough stock and so send less and/or send tat?

Get a grip, or do you work for this particular company?!

I expect to get what i ordered and what was displayed on the offer and if that isn't available, then a refund will suffice.
  • I do kind of agree with what you have said but they should have sent them out in order date, which they are not, alot of people who had money taken on 3/4th Nov are still waiting while others who paid on 12th have had theirs! I wouldn't mind getting a refund but they will not entertain checking individual orders - even if that would actually help them!

edit - meant to add that they should have cancelled orders other than send out tat if that is what is winging its way to me!

I didn't say it was ideal, however what would your solution be, if you could be so kind as to put yourself in their shoes?

    what an original argument. yawn

I remember the ad being very non specific about what you would get. They had the pictures of stuff, but never stated what you would get.

Princess Leia, when I phoned (no money had been taken out of my account), they said that my order number was no good as something had gone wrong with their computers at the time of ordering (I ordered on 3rd November). They just retook my order over the phone.

Sh*t happens, and maybe that's why those of us who ordered 1st are getting them last. However, if you phone again and give them your postcode, they can look it up for you (she asked me my postcode), and maybe they can cancel your order that way?

I'm just looking on it as a lucky dip. Yes, I'll probably smack my forehead if I get all tat, but if there's a couple of usable stocking fillers & books I'll be happy.

An email/phonecall to say they have !!!!ed up and can't fulfill the orders, would i like a refund or would i accept substiuted items?

or like other web based stores, just cancel the orders.

But no way would i expect less or subsituted items without being consulted first.
They had the pictures of stuff, but never stated what you would get.

So if you saw a picture of a TV and you were sent fridge you would be happy? "Well madam, we never actually listed what the item you purchased was, so we thought we'd send you whatever we felt like and assumed you would be happy with this"
    what an original argument. yawn

You never answered the question did you? ;)

We weren't told we would get everything in the picture though. It seems that most people are getting things from the picture. I didn't get a thomas, but the hot wheels cars were on a card and looked okay. The carols CD is in the picture, I think most of my stuff was.

I don't think they have scaled down what they send us really, it's just that the picture showed a lot of stuff.

It's not really 'tat', most of it is suitable for stocking fillers, or the school fete.

I'd have liked bubbles, playdough, lazytown book etc. but I think those were in the girls pack.

I didn't think I needed to. If you had looked at any of my previous posts on this thread, it's hardly good PR for the company is it? Since you seem to be a 'bear of very little brain' I'll spell it out for you 'I don't work for them'!

Many thanks for clearing that up. My apologies for not reading all your previous posts, the reason for this is i don't find you interesting enough or worthy of my time.

They're obviously trying to cut down the number of orders they have to handle.

No answer from my telegraph email so far. But to be honest I didn't expect one this soon. As soon as I get any sort of response I'll let you guys know what they say. If they don't answer then I will send a letter. I'm not having this sort of level of service. Its not on.

What email address did you use please? If all of us who are unhappy emailed the Telegraph, they would perhaps take notice!
