Amazing how my 2 hours in the office ended up as 3.5 hours - hey ho!

    Updating list.......

    Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
[strike]Check fire alarms are working[/strike] - DH did this early this evening! He can reach them easier than me (my bum too close to ground!!)
    [strike]
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Fling open the window and let in the cold
    [/strike] Done!!!

    Level 2
    [strike]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum & turn mattress .. [/strike]Actually did this last week!
    [strike]Air the duvet[/strike]
    [strike]15 minutes floordrobe clearance [/strike]

    Level 3
[strike]Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing[/strike]

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    1. Clean windows in these rooms
    2. Ring someone just to tell them you love them.. they are never here long enough - Calling Mum this evening after 6pm - before we go into neighbours for Bonfire Party!
    Friday Flyday- Spare Room
    Level One
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place (in my case, this means sort the laundry that has been bunged in here to be sorted ready for ironing  )

Bugrit! Just took MORE dry washing upstairs and stuffed it in the spare room! Which means I will HAVE to iron and put away before the bedframe comes on Monday (two of our lads from work are collecting it and delivering it to me and NO WAY are they going to see my spare room in a mess!!!) Think this might have to be a Sunday afternoon task - I usually put a DVD on when I'm ironing.....helps to relieve the monotony of the task!!!

    Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the floor[/strike]Had to move all the laundry stuff first
    [strike]
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
    [/strike][strike]
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!! [/strike] No bed in there yet, LOL just the mattress - bed frame arrives Monday!

Gave up on Level Three - will clean windows on Saturday!!

    Extra Task List
    1. [strike]Find 5 things to ebay [/strike]- Just need to take pix and write up the eBay ads
    2. Go to Comet/Currys and look at fridges and freezers - price up and choose models for kitchen, then see where can get them cheaper if possible.
    3. BOOKS TO LIBRARY!!!! - This will DEFINITELY have to be done on Saturday morning, as I STILL can't find one of the darned books I need to return:mad:. It has been missing for weeks, so I may well have to pay for it  . The librarian DID say that if I found it after I had paid, they would refund me (Sods Law says the wretched thing will turn up after I hand over the cash!)
Christmasshopper - I really hope you find the ring. I know that awful sick feeling too well and it wasn't my ring that "went walkies" (it was one of my DS-D's left her by her gran). I thought I knew where it was......but when she asked for it, I couldn't find it. Didn't realise that it had been moved to the "other safe hiding place" until I'd turned the house upside down. Sending you hugs, honey!!

Michelle - take baby-steps, sweetie....goodness knows, its hard enough with littlies around, especially when you are trying to give them both equal attention. My DG-S1 found it really hard to understand that his baby brother needed mommy at the same time he did, and I know DS-D found herself shouting at them. You will exhaust yourself and feel way worse if you try to get it all done in one hit!! Try setting the timer for 15 mins and undertake a task during that time. Then take a break (amazing what you can get done in 15 mins) and do another 15 if you feel up to it. Getting out in the fresh air is a really good idea as well!

Holly - big hugs and no, you aren't being unreasonable!!

Hugs to everyone else - I'm off to Currys/Comet!!
Obedient women are never remembered in History!

Thanks for that you have made me feel so lucky cause I can do all of those and have my hubbie - that is not meant to sound smug at all, it has just made me realise he's a good egg (even if he does spend too much time on his pc)

snap, has made me realise that as much as i moan and groan about him he's really one of the good guys.

Michelle & Holly - huge hugs, you both sound as if you need some 'me' time any chance of getting some at the weekend even an uninterrupted 5 mins.

i have spent the last hour cooking - chilli in the slow cooker, stew marinading in ale for the slow cooker tomorrow, a batch of chicken & leek and chicken curry made.

Just grabbing a cuppa and then will give the kitchen a quick s&s before getting the girls.

Back from shops so food in for the weekend then remembered we are at a BBQ/bonfire on Saturday - maybe we'll have the dinner for lunch. Managed to get a few stocking fillers whilst out and a few bits for the shoe boxes.

Michelle - huge hugs, I've been there, it's tough. I used to find it easier to be out when mine were little - NCT coffee morning/toddler groups/friends houses anywhere for a bit of company, change of environment and less mess at home. This time will pass and you will actually look back on it and think you enjoyed it.

CS the ring you have found, do you remember putting it where you found it? Could you have moved the other one. Do you have an evening bag which you used the last time you wore it? What about pocket of the coat/troussers you had on. Somebody (soappie?) does pinning to find things but I can't remember what you do.

Going to have a quick cuppa and put the shopping away before the school run.

I stick a pin in a cushion and say 'I pin the devil'...

(I don't leave it there though! Ouch! - I use a glass headed pin (easier to see)

BTW I know not all men are idle controlling idiots - and I'm pleased for those of you who have nice 'uns!
