When we got back from school DS who is 8 spotted some sawdust in the bathroom and asked who made this mess, he went and got henry to hoover it up. The plumber was sitting on the floor fixing the handle on the door , DS said to the plumber why have you got no hair on the top of your head .:rotfl:0

Valli - joking aside... maybe Tai Chi would help a few of the people who are feeling down at the moment. We used to have lunchtime sessions at work and it was great to take time out from the hectic, noisy day and focus inwards rather than outwards.
Have you thought how scarily clever your DS would be if he actually tried?!
I would be more impressed if he could use capital letters where necessary consistently and accurately and if he could spell any...and if he could join his writing. He might well have the ability but it is NOT apparent in his written work...:rolleyes:Don't go for the steroid injections.. I have never known them work for anyone!!! They mask symptoms and make the problems worse!.. and they hurt!
You are now formally kicked off the list until you are better.. you can come for support and hugs and gossip but it won't get better if you don't sit still!! And get some vits and probiotics down your gizzard!
(and I get cross when people mix up formerly and formally too - when my Uncle died we phoned in his obituary and they described him as being 'formally of XXXXXX Road, Blackburn:rolleyes: ) I am sure he was quite casual, sometimes.insurance sorted.. took ages didn't it.. it is now £35 a month instead of £65.. not much difference!!! For exactly the same cover.. mad isn't it?!

What about pocket of the coat/troussers you had on. Somebody (soappie?) does pinning to find things but I can't remember what you do.
The ring I found...I have no recollection of putting it where I found it. It was in a ring box with a ring and a bracelet I had completely forgotten about.
The odd thing about the ring that is still missing is that I only ever wear it with my grandma's wedding ring, and the wedding ring is in my jewellery box where I would expect it to be. I vaguely remember getting dressed up one night and sitting on my bed with my jewellery box trying different pieces on to decide which looked best. But I don't remember how long ago that was. Just that it was more than a few weeks ago.
I wouldn't have taken it off and put it in a bag or a pocket. That's just something I know I wouldn't do.
I read soappies post about pinning and I still don't understand it. Could you give me step by step instructions please and I will try it.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
((hugs)) for Michelle, honey I went to a baby group about 3 times, for many reasons inc one I walked into which was more of a toddler group and there was babies playing with pee in potties! No thanks. Sure Start ones are supposed to be better but they were not around when mine were tiddlers. I was very ill when Ds2 was a baby so didn't really have the opportunity then anyway. Hopefully your DP will be more careful, could be worse mine blamed me for his parking ticket saying he was doing something for me (which I eventually caught him out on and it was to get a sandwich!!) The battle of wills with the boys won't be forever, they get used to the fact each other are there and need attention eventually. Maybe get those CC bills etc on direct debits so you never forget them, it's hard work remembering everything when you have 2 little ones, I now pay everything when it comes through the door (only problem I have then is DP opens it and doesn't tell me!!) In this sort of weather when I could be bothered to leave the house (didn't every day) me and DSs when they were younger (Ds1 was 2 and DS2 a baby) we'd go for a walk and collect autumn leaves etc then on the way back DS2 would go off to sleep and we'd make pictures etc with them when we got back while DS2 slept in his buggy.
((hugs)) for Holly, amazing when you ask them to help a bit how much they protest but they just expect us to manage all of it alone.
kassey that made me laugh a lot, :rotfl: kids are brilliant aren't they
Dusty you are lucky, I know most of those listed by Valli don't apply to me
CS you will remember where it is when you least expect it, however when you do have a dig out empty the vacuum bag/box before hand so you can sift through it easier to check for it. Check down the sides of carpet near skirting boards too. Valli is right with the tights thing, I do that regular when looking for stuff or vacuuming stuff like glitter up so it can be used again.
((hugs)) with a mask on, for your bugs for Pink Fairy. Yes rest, my friend had that and collapsed it's awful, hope you are feeling better soon.
((hugs)) for pigpen, can the older ones not help with the little ones this evening? Try using comparison sites then buying via Quidco, mines contents only and cost me the pricely sum of £32 for the year when my cashback (due December) is paid as was £70 cashback. I like the steelies and kick them idea better! Give yourself a punt with them for the countdown reminders...evil woman!
Noo noos (vacuum cleaners to those not brought up children when teletubbies were the in thing) I love my Dyson Animal, I had a DC01 I hated with a passion but this 7 and it's animal attatchments it's great! (I have 2 hairy hounds, did have 3 at one point) I do like the fact if it goes pop for £65 I can have it like new. I wouldn't have a non animal one or older model now. I have a Morphy Richards pet mini aswell, bought for the caravan, it's ok but nothing special. TJ Hughes had some good vacuum cleaner offers (inc vaxs) and Costco can be good for prices for them. If ordering on from catalogues LXdirect had some on offer and usually codes for there (plus quidco cashback) Many other shops there is codes/cashback for.
Wooop Wooop DS1 tried new thing having school dinners today, diary said he had baked potato and really enjoyed it, he also said he had salad (will usually have cucumber) which had cabbage with purple lines in (I think it's lettuce but he calls anything green and leafy cabbage inc sprouts) and tomatoes which he ate as a toddler but not since he had a bad oneover the moon as he's so defensive with his food issues usually.
Please can anyone tell me which lettuce has purple lines in as that is what I need to buy for now?
Erm, went and got DP his new phone, eventually settled on the N96 and has faffed with it since we got back, boys and toys. Got some more xmas presents, games for kids PS2s (pre owned) they were moaning on for xbox360 but confirmed with an honest sales guy the games aren't suitable for them, so bought more games for the PS2s (they have them in their rooms and the PS3 and Wii are downstairs to share) oh and a dogs island game for the Wii which I have never seen before, DS2 will love that!
I think this gloomy feeling is definately weather related, we had some sun earlier and the mood lifted quite a bit. Dark now however and as soon as it's got dark I have felt tired and can't be fluffed to do anything.....going to do myself a list of things to do this evening in a mo, need to to get myself motivated. One day I might be more organised...........

Ok dinner is on, children seem to be happy but the house is still a messAt least they're all happy, about to be fed and watered though! Roll on bedtime
I'm actually feeling fairly happy for one! Hopefully our bank seems to have reduced it's mortgage rate, we may be short money wise but help hasn't arrived yet and my cheese sauce came out smooth and not lumpy for a change :j
Hugs to allFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

get a pin and a cusion. Thinking of the item you have lost stab the pin into the cushion saying 'I pin the devil'.
Then keep looking.
It will be in the last place you look;) (Sorry I just couldn't resist that! - obviously when you find it you will stop looking...)
When I pin though I sometimes lose something else - I only do it when I am desperate. S'probably witchcraft...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I have made the beds, brought in the last lots of washing because it looked like rain and, as it was slightly damp decided to iron that then it can dry off on the maiden...and while I was ironing the third thing it rained so - good decision. So whatever extras were on my list have not yet been done and my bedroom needs dusting and vacuuming - but no dancing tomorrow because the classes are in the Legion and they are masterminding the poppy sellers from there and no footy sunday - no match scheduledDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
