I wonder if the point made by CraftyScholar and agreed by nicki, g&b etc, applies to me, since I stopped studying, the house has got worse......

nicki have you tried Tesco for ink? They do copies of the cartridges, my printer they are about half the price for the Tesco own ones. Another option is ebay where they are usually cheaper too.

soappie you should have took the day off :D we just know you're going to come home grumpy wishing you'd took the day off. I am impressed however that you even suggested taking the day off, a step in the right direction!

Hope you enjoy your facial greenbee, you just reminded me I was supposed to go for a spa day with a friend for our birthdays but little matthew's been poorly with colds, tummy upsets etc so we haven't. I think I need to grab her at some point and get it booked.

Flower, I am sure my friend pays less than that for gym fees inc use of the pool, ask around and see if there is anywhere cheaper/better or any better season passes etc. I enjoyed swimming when we had the caravan on the site *that cost me under £20 per week for site inc the swimming* but now it's getting motivated to go when it's cold and dark, think it'll just be Thursday evenings (when the pool is fixed) for now. As for the cleaner, I know I would do it before they got there out of embarrassment so it's pointless for me. Yes the ironing, I'd like to be able to get someone else to do that, but I think I am too tight.

DP said on the phone last night that he wants to go and get a new phone today (upgrade) his has been playing up for a while, I am going to try to convince him not to, problem is with these new 18 months phone contracts the phones break before the contract ends. He however hasn't left a time he wants to be up and for a change, he didn't wake me when he got in, so I don't know what time to get him up, think I might risk it now as he'll only get a bee in his bonnet if I let him sleep all day.

Have transfered the money to his acc for the bills, had a coffee, think I should put a WM load in then vacuum the spare dog off the floor in here.......

Right HHC for me (10.15am to 10.45am) in which I will

    Wake DP up...challenge in itself
    Empty WM contents onto airers
    Fill WM and start
Collect laundry from boys rooms and check they are tidy (will strip beds and vacuum later)
    Fill DW and start
Vacuum through downstairs after picking kids left rubbish off floor

Won't be back to update I don't think but not leaving the house until I have done it all!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good on you.. but.. are you enjoying it.. because that is what it is all about.. surviving is different to enjoying and living.. you need to do the latter!!
Yes I am - no relationship is worth compromising your peace of mind for - when we were together I felt like a pig in the middle - kids on one side, him on the other...not healthy...

    My single pleasures...
    • If I want to leave the house in a mess I can.
    • When I change the bed I get in to clean sheets because no one has beaten me to it. (because for ages I NEVER did get the benefit! It seemed he was either at work or in bed - and it wasn't a strenuous job...)
    • My house my rules.
    • If I want to go out with friends (day or night) I can.
    • If I want to send text messages/e mails unhindered I can.
    • I can talk to anyone without coming under suspicion.
    • If I want to skip a meal I can.
    • I don't have to wash up, clean windows, wash clothes because someone wants/needs these things doing.
    • I am far less stressed.
    • I have the support of friends and family and flyladies when I want.
    • If I want to stay at work to get something finished I can.
    • I choose what I feel like cooking.
    • I don't have to buy christmas presents and birthday presents for people I don't love (or like even).
    • I can do some DIY jobs myself...properly.
    • I can choose decorations/furniture and when to decorate.
I am sure there are more...

Christmas Shopper if you want your quote 'back' just tell me... I just thought we should make sure everybody sees it (obviously I left out the 'old like me dear' bit:D )
I've decided I need a cleaner - even a couple of hours a week would be great to get the level 3 stuff done and then I can whip round just doing level 1 each day - I also [strike]would like[/strike] need someone to do the ironing for me and someone to do paperwork for me, so I estimate I need at least another £150 a week ON TOP of what I need to live to do that - I HAVE A GOAL!!!

Oooh I can clean...and iron...and do paperwork I COULD BE YOUR PA! Thursdays and Fridays for £150 per week ;)

I'm really glad it's Friday because that means tomorrow is Saturday and I can lie in. I've been tired this week due mainly, I think, to the lack of sunshine. I really am solar powered!
me too - and it's all bright and sunny and Ihave been and done my errand in the sunshine:D sun.gif

And I'm planning ongoing on a manga hunt, have loads but need more.

Edit - am gonna delete what I've done rather than strike it, didn't realise my post was sooooo HUGE
    1. What's a manga?
    2. Trouble is if you delete you focus on what has NOT been done - striking is positive because you can see all that you HAVE achieved.

    Morning

I've just got up  well, 10am which meant I had to take littley into school late :o poor love was bricking it.....we've NEVER been late EVER I told her that if anyone told her off they had to come and see me cause it was my fault.....I explained to the receptionist. I don't know what happened to the alarm  mind, it's the most sleep I've had since last Friday a whole 6 hours in one run.....I'm on the mend.

Been feeling absolutely horrendous as it did turn into Tonsilitis but it burst last night (yuk) so I can at least swallow without yelping oh and I'll be able to eat now. Still coughing up crap, have the sniffles and an array of other things but I can deal with those - Tonsilitis I can't deal with.

Hope everyone's ok, haven't really caught up with the posts and OH's just phoned to offer me brekkie (Porridge - hey I take it where I can get it) so I'm off round there for a bit - wrapped up of course.

    laters x

Manga is little japanese graphic novel type thingys, cover a variety ofage ranges and genres. My faves are shojo, which is basically a bit like trashy novels. Erm, not the greatest description, but I love them.

    Morning all

Just the electrician left to come today (about dinner time). I've dusted through the house and vacuumed through up and down and the stairs. I've cleaned the toilet/bathroom windows. The whole bathroom needs a clean but there's no point until the electrician has gone and I'm waiting for sealant to dry round the toilet floor edge so I don't want to get bits on there.

I should be able to get in there this afternoon.

Bad headache today, I think it's the stress of having people in here all week (and going for hours without a drink because I couldn't use the toilet).

Hope everyone's OK. Still not really caught up but next week is another week.
