Academic sex is even lower on the intimacy scale than than oral sex (talking about it) .. now.. go visit an Ann Summers shop or go get yourself a real live.. 'have your photo taken then throw it back' relationship... (fish wife encounter it is called in my house!!) .. if there is nothing live there.. come stay with me for the weekend I could fix Princess Fiona up.. you would be a breeze.. you aren't green!!

When my ex went (4 years ago in case anyone's interested I am now FULLY divorced;) OHAC GSOH) he asked if he could take the bedroom TV. I did not hesitate...I was THRILLED to see the back of it...and the stereo...and the blinkin' x box...I mean is it healthy for an adult male (and a father) to go to bed at 7pm to watch the tv/a dvd/ play on a x box when there are children in the house?
I have NOT replaced it...I have a TV in my lounge...

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good on you.. but.. are you enjoying it.. because that is what it is all about.. surviving is different to enjoying and living.. you need to do the latter!!

Ahhh, so that's where all the wisdom comes from...:rotfl: even [STRIKE]drunk[/STRIKE] merry you make sense Pigpen...:T

Loved the bit about the old lady ChristmasShopper, it's right you know, you never remember housework... I'm going to have to start working on this business lark and making it work coz I've decided I need a cleaner - even a couple of hours a week would be great to get the level 3 stuff done and then I can whip round just doing level 1 each day - I also [STRIKE]would like[/STRIKE] need someone to do the ironing for me and someone to do paperwork for me, so I estimate I need at least another £150 a week ON TOP of what I need to live to do that - I HAVE A GOAL!!!

I'm still rared up from last night (thanks girls) I checked out swimming just now and they start at 7am (thought they started earlier than that... :( ) but can fit in 1/2 - 1 hour before school for DS so should be good - it is £3 a swim for me and £1.80 for DS so if we go every day it will be £24 a week  so I will have to be canny with the groceries even more than I am I think, but hopefully, once it kicks in (if it doesn't kill me before - not exercised in 45 years, well, since school anyway!) it will make me more productive so will pay for itself...

And on that note, I'm off back to bed... hubby on his way to work and DS has an inset day, so we don't have to get up until 8am, and an extra 2 1/2 hours in bed will do me good... see you all soon...

    Morning all

FFlower - I know all about demotivated times! But well done on planning - that's a start!

I'm really glad it's Friday because that means tomorrow is Saturday and I can lie in. I've been tired this week due mainly, I think, to the lack of sunshine. I really am solar powered!

Right, bath then dress then work. Have a good day ladies.

8uggery 8ollocks! Just head on the radio that part of my route to work (in a seriously cross country part) is closed due to an accident. Unlikely to open before 9am. I know have to decide

    a) do I just think sod it and take the day off
    b) do I really want to take the alternative route which is twice as long and is going to be seriously clogged up?

Hmmm tough decisions so early in the morning! Off to consult google maps....

Good Luck soappie, hope the journey isn't too traumatic.

All this talk about motivation (just caught up on you all from last night) has got me thinking that I could do with some of that 'lifestyle makeover' stuffs, so if greenbee and flower don't mind, I'd like to join in that macaw.
Now, just got to figure out how exactly one makes over a lifestyle. I seem to be lacking things to get motivated for so I think thats what I need to work on, finding things in life that I enjoy, I don't think I have any actual hobbies, thinking about it. Aha!:j Macaw found....find a hobby...don't think it'll be that simple somehow, but its a start.

Right, to the lists. I have no spare room so today will be catch up day, time for me to do those things I haven't had chance (or haven't wanted to do).

Tuesday Twinkles - kitchen and dining room
    level one
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
    Level three

    Extras
Sit down with a cuppa and do NOTHING for half an hour!
(Suppose technically I've done this one)

Wiggly Wednesday - bathroom, study and loo-bi-doos
    Level One
    Level Two
    Clean the windows and tiles

    Level Three
    Vacuum/mop floors in these rooms

    Extras
Clean the limescale off the shower head
    Defrag the computer
(hehe, crazy boyfriend is gonna let me have a bash at this tomorrow, crazy crazy man!!)

Thursday Throw!- Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1

    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..

    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort through a cupboard and fling everything that is dead

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
31 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
Ring someone just to tell them you love them.. they are never here long enough
(Gonna change this to, get in touch with all those people who I never seem to see coz they move, got families etc and arrange meet ups or longer calls. Got lots of people this applies to...been meaning to do it for ages. Thanks Pigpen)

    Daillies(after a fashion)
    make bed

    Personal choices
    Ring marlin

  • When I was studying, my assignments were getting backed up, and i could procrastinate for Team GB. (tidy house then... no danger....) But, the best piece of advice I was given, was to say to yourself, "right, I'm going to spend 15mins doing this bit, and then I'm going to stop." Or "all I'm going to do is sort out my folders, and throw out any obsolete notes."
It's like a HHC. It's not so bad cos it's only half an hour. I can cope with that.

Naturally, once I started I'd do a little more, but I always knew I could stop after 15mins if I wanted.
Oh yes, assignments are the best way of motivating you to do other jobs:rotfl:

Swimming at 7am:eek: sooner you than me flower.
However great to hear you so much more positive.
So can someone tell me why I am up, first mug of tea finished and been catching up on posts since 7am (not complaining just wondering what is different this morning)
Oh yes and self-help books - I know some of mine almost by heart still don't put it into action.:o
