Flower - I think its the changing clocks and the weather. I can't be bothered to do anything either. And like me you stay up late and get up early, so my diagnosis is the one I gave myself today (after I overslept by two and half hours!)... you're TIRED!!

I've come to the conclusion that I need to have a bit of a break (not sure how... have to empty the utility tomorrow, then drive to Norfolk, spend the weekend with my mum... should be OK, I can sleep, read and go for walks) come back on Monday where utility room destruction will have started, then a hectic work week with my dad dropping in Tues pm and half a dozen people coming for supper Wednesday - why, when I have no DW?! - then my mother visiting Friday, and going with me & my brother to Devon for the weekend... and then its the next week...) ... and also to get back to taking plenty of regular exercise and cut out alcohol & caffiene, eat more veg, less meat and fewer carbs

Total lifestyle change. Try starting with sorting out your sleeping pattern and exercising. As you're getting up early with OH, can you not go for a walk/swim first thing, be energised for the beginning of the day, then have a long bath with a book at about 10, so that you're asleep before midnight? We can try this as a joint MACAW for next week if you're up for it!

I think you've hit the nail on the head Greenbee - I don't feel tired as such, IYKWIM, but I think it's like stress, you don't realise till it hits you - and when do we get time to stop??? I'm definitly up for the MACAW next week if you are... might go check out the pool opening times - if I'm up at 5am I might as well do something useful eh!... (I'll drag DD & DS with me or I know I won't go on my own... :D )
I want to start cutting down on the tea and coffee - have to do it slowly thought as I get manic headaches when I go cold turkey...
I keep worrying about money too (you'd think I'd do the mileage then wouldn't you...) so going to bed I don't sleep, then TV goes on as I fall asleep to that, but then wake up to it being on, plus it's bad for you to have electronics in the bedroom as it makes sleep worse, so a no win situation.... (oooh, I'm moaning again...:rotfl: )

Sorry to hear you're struggling Flower it's that old 'I have so much to do I don't know where to start' feeling...I know I am preaching to the converted here but

break massive tasks down into maneagable chunks
don't write a huge 'to do' list
    delegate where you can
    remember we are here

Start with something small that isn't too daunting and therefore slightly more achievable - then you will feel positive that it has been done...

ie re expenses (and I am guessing here) - just get the petrol/fuel receipts together - (that's 1 thing done...)
then log them onto excel - date and amount excel can sort them and total them or if it's mileage - you can still use excel...

I am exactly the same sometimes - I have so much to do that I end up doing nothing at all...

take little nibbles and before you know it you will have bitten a great big hole in it! HTH...

Thanks Valli - it's all in my outlook calendar and I have to put it on excel to total up how much mileage we've done - 40p per mile (better than remembering diesel slips)...
I know I am going to leave the housework - if they want a tidy house they can do it... I'll do my dailies and that's it - I think I will sit down tomorrow morning once hubby has left and work out EXACTLY what I have to do then put them in order of importance then just post TODAYS to do list only - like you say, small bite size chunks - trouble with me is I have read too many SH books, I know what I should do, just don't!!!:o
Flower - happens to the best of us love. When it happens to me I cut myself some slack and only do the things I want to do. If I really need to do something eg tax return then I make myself at least start it with the promise of a cuppa after 20 minutes. Usually starting is more than half the battle.

Thanks Dusty - I think you've all got me down to a tee - small bites are obviously the way to go... I think I will be on for lots of HHC's once I'm back from shopping tomorrow (oh, and going to see DS's Head and the Head of the college tomorrow to see if he still has a place there  ...) - a HHC to make me get that mileage done will be great...
    :T :T A BIG THANK YOU GUY'S...:T :T
Sometimes, you know what you must do, but doing it is a totally different thing and you need 'friends' to get you back on track - I think of each and every one of you as my friends, you are better than most of the 'real' ones I have as you are always here for me (and everyone else on here ) and I really do appreciate it - oooh, must stop getting weepy over this :o But I really do mean it, thanks again... it's much appreciated...

Right, off to make a nice cup of hot chocolate and then bed (no TV ;) ) and a new start tomorrow (with a little help...) Might even get my pilates video out in the morning if I can find it... (now, which exercise video is it again? I've started sooooo many...:rotfl: )

Ohh, and sorry for the long post... :o:o:o

My list is hideous. I have done NOTHING this week (well, no flying, lots of work...)

Yesterday I managed to order the glass (to collect tomorrow), and my kitchen units & worktops. I bought the sink at the weekend and ordered the tiles last week, so everything is in place for the work to start except...

... I have to empty the whole utility room tomorrow morning!!! I cancelled my gym appointment tomorrow morning as I need the sleep, having forgotten that I'd arranged to pick up the glass  on the way back. I've then got a freecycle collection, a facial (well Pigpen says we have to have Friday treats!), and then need to pack to go to see my mum & pack up the utility room before driving up to Norfolk... so no chance of doing any flying.

... must remember to take my laundry with me, as I'll have no WM for the next week or so...

... and as you can see, I haven't taken the advice I gave to Flower and gone to bed early (although if I go before 1am I'll be doing better than normal :o )

Welcome back Tom... Valli's right, she's been accused of all sorts of things while you were AWOL... sounds like her fireman obsession was just a smokescreen ;)

Flower - I'll have to start on Saturday, but may not be back online properly till Monday. And clear the TV etc out of the bedroom. Bedrooms are for sleeping (mainly!) NOT for watching TV in. I got rid of the clock radio too... anything that emits electro-magnetic radiation. Also make sure it is completely dark. Try Yogi teas to replace tea & coffee. No caffeine, but spicy rather than herby, so more satisfying as a replacement. I need to do my expenses too (and my Q3 review, and update my teams Q3 reviews) - I have mileage, train fares, hotel bills... around a month's mortgage payments!
  • OK, I am sorry to ask but I really need some help,

I just can't be asked to do anything and it's affecting my work....:o

I'm seriously unproductive (understatement) at the moment - we've got loads of work on, it's been mainly computer work this week, but today I should have been in Lakeside buying stuff for the show home we're doing next week and I couldn't even be asked to do that - I am just feeling so... I don't know, not depressed I don't think, but I just can't get started... for example, I have to work out mileage for the last 3 months so we can get paid, but I keep putting it off, just got no motivation whatsoever and I have sat on the sofa since dinner and not done a thing...

Anyway, that's the down side, but what I wondered was is there anything I can do to get my motivation back? I know that there is not a quick solution, but I really need one - so any ideas (apart from illegal drugs...;) ) you ladies (and Tom) might have to help me would be greatly appreciated... I know it's a big ask and I don't want to sound depressing but a kick up the backside would really need to be real and physical I think at the moment to get me going as just knowing I [STRIKE]need to [/STRIKE] must do it is just not cutting the mustard!:D

Flower.... it's horrible feeling like that. (((hugs)))) When I was studying, my assignments were getting backed up, and i could procrastinate for Team GB. (tidy house then... no danger....) But, the best piece of advice I was given, was to say to yourself, "right, I'm going to spend 15mins doing this bit, and then I'm going to stop." Or "all I'm going to do is sort out my folders, and throw out any obsolete notes."
It's like a HHC. It's not so bad cos it's only half an hour. I can cope with that.

Naturally, once I started I'd do a little more, but I always knew I could stop after 15mins if I wanted.

Valli's spot on with her suggestion. Give it a go tomorrow. You can get it done babes!

I'm still sitting here in my suit! I can't believe I haven't even managed to get changed this evening... still, I have had 4 freecycle collections (pity none of them took anything big  )

I'm out all day Saturday as we have a network meeting up near Melton Mowbray and I think I will be asleep all day Sunday :rotfl: (really, going to help my Mum as she needs loads of important stuff doing) so Monday will be fine... Not sure about the Yogi teas as I don't like spicy much, but I do like some fruit teas so I might intersperse those with my normal tea to cut down a bit... How about getting our expenses done together tomorrow???

Think I will move the TV into the kitchen Sunday too... I might be more tempted to cook again then:rotfl:
