Actually I could buy a tin for my sister and her family - she has 4 kids - one's moving to a flat near us though - they are almost all older than mine...that's the sis who bought my two a Wii last year:eek: and the girls bought my two extra games too - and then bro in law handed over cash for an extra controller and nunchuk  as they hadn't been able to get any...
Obviously it wouldn't be their whole gift...in fact sis has bought her xmas gift from me and given it to me to wrap:D - I have to pay her for it though

Well, I'm going to post even though I haven't had a chance to get near a computer today (and hardly at all all week). One day left on the bathroom - apparently - and I will be very glad to have a workman-free house. They have been perfectly nice workmen but still, workmen in my house.

I need to be able to clean round and be on my own for a bit!

I haven't read anything so I hope people are OK. I did see last night that Johanne and Pigpen have been having bad times. I hope things are no worse at least.

Right confession time, I haven't done much I'll be honest, tired and low on energy and no inclination to do much of anything to be honest.

Work is, as usual, gruelling, it's not so much the people I work with it's management, sheesh, there's got to be better ways to make a living.

Anyway, put 1/2 lb ON ala slimming world which, considering the copious amount of cake's I have made and eaten all by myself, is a flunking miracle.:D

GOT A GLASS OF RED, my first since THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE VOMITOUS TRIKER IN THE NIGHT............:D

Cleared sidess on kitchen worktops, wiped down.

Took many sauces out of various cupboards to organise into one cupboard because I can never find them when I want them.

Folded some stuff that was previously on my bedroom floor, it's on my bed..........it may go back on the floor if I can be[strike] arrrrsssed[/strike] bothered OR it may get put somewhere.;)

I cleared the table.....uuummmmmm..........I probably did something else but can't remember, ummmmmm.............ummmmmmmmmmmm, *screws face up in concentration*.........ummmmmmm ...........oh yes bought a few ickle bits for chrimbo from the sainsburys half price toy sale.:D

Going to get my jimjams on and have pudding, lots and lots of pudding.:rotfl:

Tomato soup & aubergine. Melon as a starter isn't a great idea as it can ferment in your stomach and make you ill afterwards. This has happened to me several times and has NOTHING to do with the amount of wine I drank  . The hot smoke salmon sounds great, but the potato salad would put me off as I might be too full for main/pudding! Aubergine is probably the lightest of the mains, and also they often make more effort with the veggie option.

  • Only a couple of hours in the office tomorrow, so here is my plan.......

    Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
[strike]Check fire alarms are working[/strike] - DH did this early this evening! He can reach them easier than me (my bum too close to ground!!)
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Fling open the window and let in the cold
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
[strike]Vacuum & turn mattress .. [/strike]Actually did this last week!
    Air the duvet
15 minutes floordrobe clearance LOL - love that word!!
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    1. Clean windows in these rooms
    2. Ring someone just to tell them you love them.. they are never here long enough - thanks for that, honey. I will give Mum a quick call this evening. She lives in South Africa now and we tend to keep in touch via email but it's so much nicer to hear her voice
    Friday Flyday- Spare Room
    Level One
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place (in my case, this means sort the laundry that has been bunged in here to be sorted ready for ironing  )

    Level Two
    Vacuum the floor
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
    [strike]
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!! [/strike] No bed in there yet, LOL just the mattress - bed frame arrives Monday!

    Level Three
    Clean 2 windows
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season!
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors

    Extra Task List
    1. Find 5 things to ebay/freecycle
    2. Go to Comet/Currys and look at fridges and freezers - price up and choose models for kitchen, then see where can get them cheaper if possible.
    3. BOOKS TO LIBRARY!!!!
Obedient women are never remembered in History!
