    Morning all,
How are we all on this grey and misty morning??
Methinks I may have temporarily taken leave of my senses....currently doing a happy dance as the chicken stock that I made yesterday has gone delightfully jelly-ie. In my defence every chef seems to say that its the easiest thing in the world and each batch that I've ever made has stubbornly refused to do this.

Wiggly Wednesday - bathroom, study and loo-bi-doos

    Level One
[STRIKE]Clear floors of gibble and guff[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty the bins[/STRIKE] Did this last night.
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clean the windows and tiles[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean the baths, bogs and basins[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]declutter and wipe the pc desk [/STRIKE]
    Level Three
delete 10 dead links from your favourites and 35 old useless emails!
    Vacuum/mop floors in these rooms
    [STRIKE]Polish taps and mirrors[/STRIKE]

Clean the limescale off the shower head
    defrag the computer
[STRIKE]Wipe all the grotty places.. the keyboard/phone/mouse etc..[/STRIKE]
Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!

    I'd rather be watching CSI!

or you can type [ s ] at the beginning and then that again but with a / in front of the s at the end (but no spaces inbetween).

Ok how do I ask my husband for help with the housework without sounding like I'm nagging?

    How about...

"honey/darling/whatever.... our home really bothers me when it's like this, and I know it bothers you to (whether it does or not is irrelevent) I know that if we work on this together we'd get loads done, and could feel happier together, and then relaxed and happier, we'd have lots of sex. :rotfl: :rotfl: So, these are the jobs that need doing, I propose me doing x&y-jobs, which ones will you do? I love you darling."

    Or

" right you mucky b*gger, the house is a tip, you do this, while I'm doing that. Meet you in the middle for coffee"

    Or

"where did you get the impression that you didn't have to do any housework for the rest of your life?"

    HTH

Or if you dont like using an iron at all....they do a special badge GLUE!;)

When i was an active scout leader last year only about one the mums could sew so the most of the kids never had their badges on their uniforms and ended up losing them.... so i invested in the glue myself and lent it out to each kid... problem solved (sturdy stuff too so doesnt come off after lots of washes like wundaweb sometimes does! :D

Oh and it even says on the box it can be used for hems curtains etc so MSE oldstyle uses ;):p :money:

Sarah...fabulous!!! Especially the sex bit, that should get him moving :rotfl: If I say the only reason I never want to is because I'm so tired after doing the housework and children so I can't relax, so if the housework is done then I will be more relaxed and willing :D

We always tend to end up with me sounding like I'm dictating what we need to do which he doesn't like so goes off in a huff and I get annoyed as that's just the way I say it...argh!

I think I'll be nice and let him have a drink and some lunch first though ;)

I've arranged for one freecycler to come round tonight, and got the stuff for her out of the garage, and for two more to come round tomorrow evening.

What do you do about people who express and interest, you tell them they can have it and to arrange a collection time and then you don't hear from them again? How long do you have to wait before offering it to the next person on the list?.

I really don't like it when that happens greenbee I tend to wait for them to have had chance to check emails (ie I don't assume they've got internet at home, or conversely that they have to wait until they've got home to check as they don't have internet at work IYSWIM) Say 12 hours... depending on how quickly i want rid. If they don't get back to me within what I consider to be a reasonable time, I offer to the next person on the list.

I've found that I always seem to get at least one person who says they want something, and then doesn't respond if they get offered it...

HTH... or is that as clear as mud! :p

So pleased for Obama!I think it will make a huge difference internationally, for the better!:T

    Johanne
    - huge hugs, hun. Words cannot express how I feel for you at the moment. :grouphug: Not a very grown up way of dealing with things, particularly the timing!

Pigpen - hope things will start to go your way soon! Not sure if this would be of any help for Tiddles, as I don't know exactly what the problem is, but I had Talipes, both feet, had to wear "special" shoes, do daily exercises and 8 years of physio. I had to pick up marbles, pencils etc in my toes to strengthen them. (Still do, as a matter of fact - saves my back!:o)

    Welcome to any newbies/returners

Mudbath - hope you feel better soon (but glad it;s not shingles), and anyone else who is feeling poorly!

    Gryfon - lovely verse!

Summermoon - lovely auntie. That must be a huge relief for you.

SarahShattered et al- I agree it's the media influence that causes the problems as they delight in stirring things up and pointing out "non-PC behaviour" Or is it maybe just the lame brain who invented "political correctness" in the first place - load of rubbish.

Chunky79 - hope you sort things out. DD certainly doesn't need that and I wouldn't hesitate to contact the police if the little thug is that violent. I don't see why she can't be monitored all the time. As others have said, it would seem likely that she has been excluded from tother schools, so they must know there is a problem. Why is it the innocent that end up suffering. Oh yes, we're back to political correctness again!

    So far today:

2 washloads, 1 tumble drying, 1 on clothes horse.
    BM on
Meat out to thaw for dinner
    Bathroom, shower room, kitchen SS
    Dog bedding changed!:o

Had coffee with work colleague (who was also off sick last week) and sorted out papers she needed.

Just had coffee, so am going to tackle my ironing before I stop for lunch.

Still coughing well. I really thought my ABs would have worked by now.

Thanks Sarah. I've sent them a follow-up (pretending that I'm assuming that I didn't get back to them) and still haven't heard, so I'm going to contact the others who were interested and re-offer some stuff. I need it GONE!!!

Hope you staying glued to the sofa and aren't doing anything silly;)
