And then to top it all I fell down the stairs Tuesday and have twisted my ankle. I felt it go as I landed on it in a heap, amongst a spilt cat tray of used litter. :-( It's now a very puffy and pinkish looking foot..lol

Ouch!! Natty REST - with foot up whenever possible and cold pad for the swelling.

[strike]sitting out place? Why out? is it indoors?[/strike] ooh that sounds aggressive - could you explain please?
Sitootery (not sure of spelling)think it is a Scots word. Sort of sitting area, but not living room. Could be conservatory etc. In my case when loft conversion was done stairs go up from what was small bedroom, so extra area in the hall. I have bookshelves, music centre, chair, small table. As it is south facing and living room is north facing it makes a lovely spot for morning break.

Hmmm I might be nice and let them buy a magazine and a chocolate bar if they do all their stuff every day.

Change of plan though. I'm going to have tokens/coins of 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes. There will be a list on the door of things that need doing. Once they've done whichever they want it gets ticked off and they get a token to buy their free time. I think it'll work better than I can explain it :rotfl:

SOOOOO glad i didnt clear the floordrobe last night.... sarah rolled off the bed this morning before i could catch her (over the pillows id put either side to stop her doing it) Luckily the floorrobe cushioned the fall.....and when i dived over the bed after her she was just lying on the floor looking up at me - not a tear or a scream - just a look of "ooh what happened there mum?!" on her face:o :o:o:o :rotfl:

    Afternoon everyone.

Slept for 9 hours again and still have headache and sore throat. Had paracetamol and echinacea. Have rang work to say I wont be in tomorrow.

Supposed to be on First Aid course on Tues. Only did my last one in March.

    Dailies done
    Broth cooking
    Shopping done.

Just going to do flying in small chunks.

I agree with what you all say about other peoples troubles put things in perspective.

Pink Fairy Hope you are taking it easy and begin to feel better soon.

Likklegibbon Hugs for your sister and her friend. I wasnt offended and Im sure no one else was.

Johanne Big hugs for you. I know what its like when your mind plays games and gets you thinking things.

Valli Loved the list for Johanne. Once years ago ex had an affair and was just about to move away with her. I rang her and invited her for coffee being over the top nice etc. When she got here I locked the door behind her and made a thing bout putting the keys in my pocket. Gave her coffee etc still being nice. Later found out that she had been terrified thinking my DD was hiding and going to thump her. Made me laugh for ages.

Natty Big hugs. Look after that ankle. Have you had it checked out?

Off to tidy kitchen and put the rubbish out. Then lunch I think.

    Afternoon all,

I decided against picking up Ds2's presents , i rang the shop and can collect them Tuesday when i'll be in town anyway. Makes more sense.

I'm going to take Ds2 puddle jumping soon, i might drag the 2 big ones with us too if i'm feeling mean;) , although after all there help with the party i might just let them chill out.

When i get back i'm going to tackle my washing and ironing mountains and light the fire, i don't need to do tea as i think we'll be eating leftovers for a good while yet.

Joanne that was lucky about Sarah falling onto the floordrobe. Ds2 fell off my bed when he was a baby and thankfully landed on a pillow.
