Hi,
Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/retunrers. I've got really bad period pains so I don't know how much flying I'll be doing. My aims for today are to do laundry, wash up, maybe go grocery shoping, do errands and shower0 -
I've spent the best part of the last two weeks away from home so haven't flown at all... Part of my job is working for our Training department so I'm often MIA (i.e. scooting round the country delivering courses). I really love it, but it often gets to the stage of *come home, empty suitcase into WM, process, pack suitcase, leave*...so that gets a bit wearing
So - yesterday (a day off!) we should have been fishing, but the wind was too much like gale force so I managed to go to Costco to pick some things up for my mum and do all the clothes laundry.
Today I will :
[strike]Do the food shopping[/strike]
[STRIKE]Change bedding[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wash bedding[/STRIKE] First load in - another to do
Hoover and dust bedroom and lounge
[strike]S+S bathroom [/strike]
[strike]S+S kitchen[/strike]
Make cake :T
(oooh - and mrsgnomey - if you see this - I'll drop off my/your RAC pack on Sunday as I zoom past on my way to a freebie lunch at M+Ds....)0 -
Weekend List
I want to see everyone helping here..
- [STRIKE]Clean out any pets[/STRIKE]
- Choose a room and work together to get it to level three.
- [STRIKE]Catch up on a big job.. ironing/washing/assignment etc[/STRIKE]
- Clean out the car!
- Polish the porch!
- list 5 things on ebay/freecycle
- Binbag dance
- [STRIKE]Wash any bedding that has been missed[/STRIKE]
- Wash any grimy windows
- Have an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing..

This state of affairs could drag on (I mean him living in your home, going out as and when, while simultaneously making you feel like sh*t) He can't have it all his own way babes. And for what it's worth... I sincerely hope you have ceased doing ANYTHING for him. No washing or cooking.
I know that it must be incredibly hard for you, and must hurt like hell, but the sooner he's gone, the sooner you can get on with having a calm and happy life.
(((((hugs)))))
I was thinking about what everyone was talking about with regard to other people's troubles putting ours into perspective. I agree that sometimes you look around and think... blimey, I've got nothing to moan about..... BUT more than that, I agree with Lil_me It doesn't stop our stuff being unbearable at times.
First to reiterate Supergirlsarah's advice - Johanne - do nothing for him - you're not his mother and to echo that - when other people are having it bad I think - well, there but for the grace of God go I... but yes - our troubles, big and small are troubles and we need to share them and work through them.Craftyscholar wrote: »Have decided to sort out the 'sitootery' at the bottom of the stairs. It seems to have collected a lot of bits and should be a lovely welcoming area.Morning everyone,
Just popping in to give you an update as to why I have been absent best part of last week and all this week, just gone. I am still a wee bit flueyfied, it doesn't want to go away and no amount of flu medicines are even having any impact on it. Plus I am coughing for England, and it's a chesty cough too. And no cough medicine has touched it, I have gone through two bottles of medicine now, I am now on my third bottle..lol Had to go to the nice Dr man to get some antibiotics, for my cough as that had turned into a chest infection..ugh. So hopefully that will also stop me from sweating too as I can't even do my hair now as it just sticks to my head after an hour..ugh!!
*Hugs* for everyone that is doing so well, and *hugs* for those that are not well or need them.
Hope you are feeling better soon - keep and eye on it - we don't want pneumonia setting in!Well we had the party:rolleyes: i felt bad for the kids missing out so did most of the cleaning myself then phoned OH and told him to come and help with the rest and let everyone know it was back on. He helped a bit. All the kids really enjoyed it and it was a great night.SarahShattered wrote: »For most problems though the solutions are quite straightforward. Pelvic floor exercise, maybe some physio, or even a small op; obviously depending on how severe the problem is. But !!!!!! sort it out, it's so horrible to live with, and you don't have to put up with it. Plus, think of the money you'd save on pads!!!!! :rotfl:
Piggers Maybe you could put it on the list... all those with a bladder issue to see the doc to get it sorted for 2009!!
I echo that SSlikklegibbon wrote: »I hope no-one thought that I was belittling their problems when I said about my friends OH, because as always I'm in awe of how much the flyladies manage to deal with in their daily lives, just I was a bit in shock when I'd heard - hope I haven't offended anyone :embarasse
I like, and occasionally use, the Irish phrase 'Sorry for your troubles'. We can sympathise and empathise but we cannot feel other's pain - probably a good thing really - we would all be quivering wrecks.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
