Hi FB - you may need to change your sig! Can't believe how soon the 12th will be.

    Hi chirpchirp,
Based on some experimental spreadsheets and Q&A type notes, I was pondering over the MFiT-T2 challenge back in August 2008 - and started working on some sheets in earnest towards the end of the year.

With hindsight, I'm now very pleased it was announced in January, as everyone will now get 3 full years to indulge in the challenge.

Yes, and I'll be updating my sig sometime tomorrow (2nd) when I can find some free time to "10 days and counting"...

    Hello all,

Our last OP of 2009 will be for around £425, going in later this week. Maybe more depending on a couple of payments.

Really happy, overall this year we have overpaid just short of £3000. We only started in June (mainly thanks to this site and it's members) and next year we hope to maybe even double that.

Thanks to everyone and good luck to you all!
  • MFW #255 Update

    December payment
Have made my final OP of the year which was £2120.84, giving a total OP for 2009 of £20,230.05 versus my target of £16,000.

    Outstanding Mortgage
The balance at the start of the challenge was £52,267 and has now reduced to £27,666. The target is now to clear this balance by 1 September 2010, 2 days before my 40th birthday!

Thank you to one and all on this challenge for constantly providing motivation and to Zavarony for keeping the scores.

  • £1000,000 would be so cool. I'm sat here scratching my head and wondering what i can contribute to the amount, although some good figures already seem to be setting in. Come on everyone. What can we scrounge together this month?;)
  • Zav - many thanks for your work on this, almost a million reasons we should all be happy, it's an outstanding result.
We are now planning to concentrate on the MFi3T2 Challenge, but having managed to pay back almost £30,000 in the last 12 months during the 2009 MFW Challenge I would like to say a massive thank you to all of you for your encouragement and support. If you are going forward on the 2010 Challenge the best of luck with your plans.
