thanks a lot for this thread cos I'd normally lose count lol
it seems that I managed to overpay over twice as much as I though I'd be able to so great news.
I stopped overpaying and put all the rest of my money to ISA as my deal is coming to an end and from 5.6% I'm going onto a flexible one with C&G 2.5% !!! Hurray! my money will be working better on 2.5%
So I've already set up an overpayment of 180 a month and will add extra whenever I can:-)
    Good luck everyone

Last overpayment for Number 20 reporting in

I have sent my December overpayment of £650 which brings my total for the year to £5174 slightly short of my £6480 target but still managed 80% of my initial goal.

    I'm happy with that:D

I have signed up for the Mfi3 take 2 challenge so would like to wish you all the very best for 2010.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

  • Number 288 and a final report from me for the year.

December overpayment was £141.44 which is fantastic compared to my poor overpayments in the past few months,

    My 2009 overpayment is £19,091.71.

I originally set myself a conservative target of £2000 but we cashed in an ISA for £17k, so i managed to beat my target which i am happy about. I've joined MFi3 and the 2010 challenge so i am hoping to see lots of familiar faces posting and encouraging me on.

A big thanks from me Zav. You have been great this year. Much appreciated.

Happy Christmas to all, and may the new year bring us all a better set of circumstances to help us with our goals.

Well folks, last update from me before heading over to the next lot of challenges .

    Target £15,000 off main mortgage
    Achieved £15,814.24
    Exceeded by 5.4% :T

Thanks Zav for all your hard work :kisses3:Well done to everyone else, can't wait to see final totals :j.

    Right, 2010 & MFiTT2 here I come, onwards & downwards :)

  • Hi all

Well have done my final tot up for the year. My target was £3000 and to get my mortgage under £200,000  As of today it's £197,061 so :T

My overpayments have totaled £4070 although the extra £1k is pretty much from money that we've 'saved' when the interest rate went down. I've now sorted out a DD so that this money keeps going into our mortgage rather than down the drain.

I am planning to get a good grip on the finances in the new year again - feel like I let things slide a bit. So heading off to make a commitment on the 2010 thread :)

Thanks everyone for keeping us all on track and here's to eventually being MF rather than MFW
