I've just completed my usual Payday Money Shuffle, and have transferred a lovely £400 into my mortgage savings :j

I reckon at this rate I should be able to reach my savings target by the end of July - I'm not going to raise my target, but it will be interesting to see how much I can beat it by!!

Number 241 reporting in for June.

Well, shocked ourselves really, a wee bonus at work we didn't expect, refund from bank and the usual savings amounted to £1415.54 :)

We've now well and truly smashed our 2009 target and are building the offset savings up very nicely too, running at about 20% offset...aiming for higher.

    Will pm Zav.

Keep up the good work everyone.
    LM :)

We have a regular saver maturing this month, and I took the executive decision yesterday to throw £150 - about half of the anticipated interest of £325 towards the mortgage as a further overpayment for June.

Zavarony - I'll also PM you with this update too...

    FB.

Well in light of the fact we got £360.69 regular saver interest - more than the suggested £325 interest (due to paying in 13 x £500 standing orders), I've just made a final overpayment this month of £25.00

Along with earlier overpayments of £126.97, £150 and today's £25.00 - that makes a total of £301.97 overpayments for June.

Zavarony - will PM you with these details...

I have not posted on here for a while, so a quick update.

Finally sorted old house out after tenants moved out & got it on the market 15/5. Accepted an offer 6/6, provisional completion 20/7. :jAll going reasonably smoothly, just waiting for survey result & then buyer will have mortgage offer. Fingers crossed thats fine.

On market for £159950, offer accepted £145000. Not quite as much as we had hoped for, but felt it better to accept than to still be on market in 6 months time. So providing it all goes through I will be paying about £140k off this mortgage. We will then be more than 50% offset.:j I will then have to update my target for this year.

DH has made a full recovery after his neck problems earlier in the year. He had a major op 7/5. Can't wait now to go back to work, he is so bored. Hopefully he will be getting signed off this week.

Heres hoping we have a better 2nd half to the year.
