  • Hi folks, sorry I'm so late again, things have been a tad mental for of late.

    Managed a £500 OP for May but this week things have started to look bleak as MrsBlackCat has lost her job... been coming for a while but is still a bit of a shock when it happens. Her payoff would enable us to carry on as normal, OPing the mortgage etc. for another 3 months or so, but if she can't find anything else in the meantime we'll end up having to take some of these hard earned OPs back out of the mortgage again, not good! The other option is to stop OPing until she can get something sorted, which would make her payoff last longer. Better return would probably be with the former option but this probably isn't the best option psychologically! Any advice anyone?

    Either way, looks like we won't be able to make any OP at the end of this month as she will only be paid for the beginning of the month, and we don't know when her settlement cheque will be sorted. Gives us the chance to have a proper think about our situation though I guess!

    Hi Zav,
    Just worked it out for 2009 so far:-
    Jan = OP of £809.70
    Feb = OP of £379.13 = Total OP = £1188.83
    Mar = OP of £1314.43 = " " " " = £2503.26
    April = OP of £1349.19 = " " " " = £3852.46
    May = OP of £1382.56 = " " " " = £5235.01
    June = OP of £1382.56 = " " " = £6617.57 so mortgage still owing now only £75,402.00
    so I'm in front of my target of 10,000.00 this year, if I can keep this up so wish me luck.

    Hi all,
    Just want to let you know I'm still here, I have a full inbox so sorry if PM's have been bounced back to you, its been ages since I was last on but just a quick update before I start updating the May and June totals....

    I have now moved house - woo hoo, still dont have the web at home but should be on soon, been on holiday, handed in all my assignments for Uni and am in the middle of preparing for my exams in a fortnight, once they've been and gone I have no excuses for letting MFW 2009 slip!

    I will catch up on the thread over the next couple of days and update the totals,
