    No 239 Declaring May at £3500 /£194.92/ £2713.16

Didn't manage so much this month but I'm still hoping to exceed my target by the end of the year.

My mortgage is in two halves both of which are repayments on different fixed rates. I was thinking about reducing the term on both of them but on further thought dont know if I would be better just continuing with the overpayments and waiting until I have only a small amount outstanding before changing the term.

I would be grateful for other MFW veiws on this.

I don't feel I've been very motivated this month but someone has switched the lightbulb on over my DH's head - Yay!:j

Declaring our mortgage for this month as £87062. Not gone down by much this month but DH has rearranged our finances a bit to pay off his van early so hopefully from next month that money will go to the mortgage.

My favourite part of the month, the day after payday! :j

Over halfway to my target now.

#225 here, i've now paid off a total of £1000 this year. it will probably stay like that for a while as i need to concentrate on clearing my credit card before any more overpayments. my monthly payment has reduced from £644 to £638... every little helps i suppose!

Could I please Join in. Aim is to make a capital overpayment of 10% ( I think £8400) and overpay monthly by £250. Would like to be mortgage free by Apr 2014.

    Totals so far Capital overpayment £8000/Monthly 4 x £250
Any ideas of what else I can do - fixed term ends 09/2010 so stuck on the deal I have at the moment.

    Hi.

    I'm number 173.

I think I've made a mistake adding up my overpayments so far this year - I've actually overpaid more than I thought! I've also decided to up my year target.

    My target is now £3720
My overpayments for May were £1296.76
My total 2009 overpayments so far are £1791.66.
