Also got free pack of Mini DV Tapes.

Have just managed to reserve this at argos enfield - is this camera also known as the sharp VL-Z100? (which is in the argos cat number 563/1357) this model was given a 'buy it' rating in computer active last month (beating 7 other budget models) and I was seriously close to paying the full price for it so happy days.

Well done Sniffer, good spot. I've just got back from picking one up. It's a very nice little gadgety camera.

While I was in Argos I had a quick go at punching in items from their current catalogue. None of the items I was interested in was full price when I checked. Most digicams/camcorders have at lease £50 off and most other tech godies were lower than the catalogue price.

Did the pack of mini-DV tapes come packaged with the camcorder or were they seperate? Did you have to ask for them?

I have one of these reserved and am keen to know what to expect......

just picked mine up from argos enfield - they had more in stock - the free tapes (5 pack!) come separately (came up on the cashiers screen) and don't forget the £10 voucher - the camera itself is unbelievably small and coooool looking - havnt tried it yet but this was a great spot by sniffer - thanks again

Picked mine up today, very happy the pack of 5 tapes were automatically put on the receipt as was the £10 voucher (to be used by feb 14th). Great post - saved me at least £100 as I was intending to budget £250 for one. THANKS!!! ;D
