Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward

Not impressed with Halifax at all - went into branch to fund my new account with £50 but was told it couldn't be done as a transaction was already pending. Put it into a different Web Saver account to transfer over, and have now been told by the online help desk that I was misinformed by the branch, and that I could've funded it there and then, but can't transfer the money. Not too impressed.0

Seriusly? Are you sure? I just made a withdrawal but if this is really the case I will put it all back.
Yes it is 6% fixed.

Minw says 3% too now. Best keep a print out of the T&Cs me thinks.0

Enough people opened this account that they can't just turn around and say "sorry, we're only paying you a variable rate of xyz%". It was opened as a fixed rate, provided you kept to the terms and conditions.
If you keep to the T&Cs, the Reward will be added at the end of the term. But until they check that you've met the current account funding requirements, it's in effect a standard Guaranteed Saver, with variable rates.0 -
Luckily I left 3000 in there when I made my withdrawal.... so still inside the T&Cs right? (as it's 2500+?)Kavanne

Should be. Remember there is a limit to the number of withdrawals you may make (four? I can't say I looked as I wont withdraw until it is done)0
