Hey I'll just butt in and suggest that you will need regular income going in to the current accounts with overdrafts, otherwise they may start either getting annoyed or charging you (double check there isn't a minimum funding requirement on any). A&L on some accounts only want to see income, they don't care where it comes from so you could transfer a direct source (eg pay from employment) in from one of your other two!

All the best with it all.

  • Thanks at the moment Barclays gets my child benefit and maintenace (around £200 a month) and Halifax my working families tax credits (£400 a month) My review date for halifax is January so trying to clear that as quick as I can probably with a lob transfer for 6.5%

  • Off sick today. As I've only just started new job don't know if I'll get sick pay or not so will have to wait and see. Joined butlins bingo last night, and doing my daily scrathcards. Luckily I can resist the temptation of gambling....not one of my many vices! have signed up for 2 new challenges. Clear 10k by christmas 09 and sealed pot challenge. Hopefully these will keep me focused and make me find creative ways of making extra cash.

Kind of frustrating cos I'm skint at the moment as my pay/tax has been all messed up. But come end of December I should be getting an absolutely bonanza payday! Until then though things are going to get worse before they get better.

  • Had a great weekend. Went christmas shopping with cash only for the first time since I was a kid! Managed to go for the 'big box cheap content' philosophy for DS's stocking. Now just got to add cash to the nieces and nephews cards (with a small token gift already bought) and I'm done

Saw some lovely terramundis in a shop and gave DS £20 with strict instructions that I wanted one. He went in with his Nan and bought me one so i don't know what design but he does have good taste! He spent the change too so another surprise on it's way. Big kid me!

The following is to get straight in my head how I'm going to record my challenges.

PAD. Easy. Every day a little something via internet banking to a debt.
Pay £10k by christmas 09. As when statements come in amount reduced added to this total
Sealed Pot challenge. Record number of clinks i add a day. Any coin under 50p in my purse at end of day in it goes And £2 coins until Christmas. this will pay for christmas 2009.
Terramundi £2 coins and £1 coins of money left over from week. (Not to be opened until full) Holiday. I am currently 'paying' myself £100 a week for food, fags and petrol.

    Phew....it's clear to me!
