How hot? I always use this one:

Ingredients:
• 15 habanero chillis - roughly chopped
• 1 ripe mango - peel, pit, mash
• 1 cup cheap yellow prepared mustard
• 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/4 cup white vinegar
• 1 tablespoon curry powder
• 1 tablespoon ground cumin
• 1 tablespoon chilli powder
• salt and pepper to taste, assuming surviving taste buds
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor and stand well back. Pour into a bottle.

This will keep, covered and refrigerated, until the year 2028. Be careful though: If it spills, it will eat a hole in your refrigerator. If you ever want to dispose of it, call the local toxic waste specialists.
Seriously though, be very careful with this stuff, always wash your hands after handling / making. Chili in the eye, or worse, on your family jewels will hurt.

1 cup cheap yellow prepared mustard

Is that the ordinary stuff you get in a jar? because a cup of it seems a lot!

Here is my stock receipe for chilli garlic paste, mix it with tomato sauce to go with chips, mix it with olive oil to go with boiled pasta or on its own to as a side with any meal. Keep refrigerated.

Garlic Chilli paste
1/3 cup dry shredded coconut (unsweetened)
1/3 cup peanuts
15 cloves garlic
10 dried red chillies
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp dry tamarind
salt to taste
Method: Dry roast each ingredient (except tamarind and salt) separately on low heat till toasted. Grind all ingredients together to form the chutney. Store in a dry container.

Masala Chips
heat 1 table spoon oil
Add 2 table spoon chilli garlic paste and 2 table spoon of tomato ketchup
sti-fry for a minute
Add chips and mix well
Enjoy

Hi
Not sure how spicy you want your sauce,so i would follow this reciepe according to how heat you want. This is my lazy version of chilli sauce.
Any kind of ketchup
Blended fresh green chillis
Just mix it together-if you require less spice then cut the chilli down the milddle and just de-seed(and wash hands afterwards!)
It tastes great and so much cheaper.

If its hot sauce you want then this is the traditional stuff, no sugar, no garlic, no spice, just hot http://bitten.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/18/diy-hot-sauce/
