I like the new format of RISI as it makes it easier to list the condition of the books. I have many old books which I love but which are not perfect by any means. Now people will know what their getting so can't leave bad feedback if they swap with you, and you can see who left feedback too which is good. No book sales today

Thanks for the advice on the religious books. They're all less than 50p, so I think I'll pick up a couple of the more new age type ones next time I'm in town.

I'm liking the look of the changes on RISI. I've had mixed success with my swaps too - a couple of good ones which have sold quickly, but also several in very poor condition.
  • I have a few religious ones that have been hanging around a while with no interest...did think they might go well but don't bother now!!!

The one religious one I have sold is one called "How To Read The Bible For All Its Worth" which sold to a lady Reverend (I think that is right!!) :D

Just received an email to say I have sold my 3rd book in as many days - thanks to you all and especially AT.
Have loads on this week but next week am going to trawl round the charity shops to see if there are any decent books.
    Cheers!

i like the new format too

i've just emailed all my fellow swappers to tell them i won't be posting their swaps til later this week

i've been fighting off a horrible cold for weeks now and it's coming down hard now last two days i've been sniffling so thought i was getting off lightly but now all my muscles ache, i can hardly see for the itchy nose and watering eyes and my throat feels like the sahara :(

i really have to watch myself as i tend to get bronchitis if i over do things (had bronchitis for 3 weeks once and wound up in hospital, not good  )

i'm going to bed now, really MUST get some sleep _pale_

Where can you see how many swaps you have done?

There is a book search box on the home page, key in one of your books and it will come up with your name, how many swaps you've done and your star rating with comments.

Going back to RISI discussion of yesterday, I've tried to relist the book that I listed yesterday afternoon - and no, it definitely doesn't jump up the list and stays showing as having been added on 7/2. I guess the only way to jump them up the list is to delete them and add them again. Oh well.

Anyone noticed the new person on RISI who has listed hundreds of low value non fiction books? They include their own book website on the user's description which breaches RISI's Ts and Cs I think. They asked to swap a 1p book of mine that was linking to the wrong amazon item which was worth £16. I was sorely tempted to swap something just for the satisfaction of them getting my crappy book!! All their books that I looked up on Amazon were already listed for sale on marketplace with the same seller name as the website they are advertising.

I guess that aside from the naughty plug for their website, they are only doing the same as us on a larger scale so a bit two faced to whinge about it, but it's painful trawling through all the listings trying to find a book that isn't one of theirs!!

They seem to have millions listed, every book I click on belongs to them!

I have put a complaint in about this person and its being looked into.
