Does it smell? if so I know that I wouldn't like to buy it, a little bit of biro is one thing, chip fat is another....:rotfl:
Might have a little go with the iron but the splodge doesn't smell (the book is the HB of The Sunday Philosophy Club).
BTW I have been a follower of MSE for a couple of years and started getting rid of some of my old books at the beginning of October, but only found your first thread through reading the Seller Connection board at Amazon!I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0 -

Thank heavens that no one there knows my amazon name - it's not the same as my swapit or ebay name. I think that I have a split personallity....
I just did a search on there to see if Apprentice Tycoon has been mentioned recently but it would appear not, the last time was when Martin mentioned this thread in the tips again. They've all forgotten about us now...phew!0 -

Try talcum powder that absorbs grease it worked when someone dropped fat on my daughters new suede boots!!!Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I have had a quick look round for the amaon forum you have just mentioned, but can't find it - is it only available for pro-merchant sellers?0
-
No, it's for all sellers.
Go to your seller account page, to the right you'll see 'seller discussion boards' then go to 'seller connections'.
If you want to see what they said about us on this thread look about 1/3 down the page and you'll see 'advanced search' then key in 'apprentice tycoon' and click the 6 month ago search. They deleted a few of the posts but you get the drift...0 -

I sold a paperback on Amazon today for £3.50, it was in minor tatty condition so listed it as such and it was chosen and sent off today -good.
I was moseying around looking at the listing for this particular book and the variations in price for it. At the end was one for something like £21.57. What got me though was the seller is in the UK. The rating was at 85% and it said that any books ordered would be dispatched in 36 hours and that delivery would be between 10 and 15 days! Not a very tempting purchase!
I am hoping my chappie will get his tomorrow as I sent it first class. I am wondering if these people use fleets of carrier pigeons hauling great big sacks of jiffy bags, trying to read the delivery notes and getting lost in the process. :rotfl:Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
