    Hello all,

Snowy Great news on the cat front (or bottom, rather). Hope he gets better soon.

Thank goodness its Friday - have had a rubbish week at work. There was a big row today between the two shifts, as weekends were being lazy and leaving all the work to us (they do every week, but this week they were really trying it on). Management was told and next thing everyone was shouting at each other  I don't know if I can handle all the backstabbing and petty b1tching that is the general atmosphere in there - it is like a playground.

    Anyway.

I am fortunate enough to live so rurally that I very much doubt children exist up here :) Yes, I know that sounds mean but I never really 'got' Halloween.

Not much Osing going on for me tonight, just chillin' out with tea and cake :D Yes, that counts.

PS. Is it just my imagination or is the Daily really quiet lately?

  • Hello, everyone. Had a terrible afternoon :o A dog broke into the hen coop, injured 2 and killed another (I think she was literally scared to death  ). The dog got away, but we're on the look out for the owners.

Off out to eat soon, but not really in the mood anymore :o

Pen-Pen - how awful. Thinking of you. As a dog owner (2), I just can't understand how people don't know where their dogs are. Might it have been a fox? My sister lives in Kent, in a town, and yet has a fox in her garden most mornings. A friend lives in a coastal town and has had to keep her chickens in as a fox got some of them too. That said, I know that some dogs are unreliable around chickens.

ed to add - sorry, read again and can see that it was a dog

    Sorry about your chickens

    Snowy

Glad Dylan sounds as if he is getting a bit better.

DD(19) just came home for the weekend so have been feeding her home made lentil soup and bread rolls. Hobnobs are just cooling from the oven for her to try and am so pleased to see her home again - even if it is only for a couple of days.

    Hugs to everybody

So sorry to hear this. I hope the rest are okay. No responsible dog lover would allow this. Do you know who the owners are?.

    Evening peeps,
just having a quick catch up before bedtime.

PenPen - How awful for you and your poor chickens, i hope that you find the owner of the dog soon, i agree with you wmf, i can`t believe that some dog owners don`t know where their animals are :(

SnowyOwl - Fantastic news about Dylan, i`ve thought about you both a lot lately :j :j :j

I`ve had a sleep since arriving home and we have had lentil and bacon soup for tea, i have i front of me a large brandy and take comfort in the fact that i`ve now only tomorrow to w*rk before my week off, i was supposed to be working two more days but have managed to get one of my shifts covered.
TBH i could do with the money and it cancels out some of the overtime that i`ve been doing lately but i just don`t feel up to it.

The kitchen is tidied and everything is ready for morning so i shall toddle off to read in bed until i drift off into the land of nod.

    Have a good evening peeps.
