  • Thanks DFSD. I was pleased with the money. For the half hour it lasted ! I went from the bank to the chemist to get some prescriptions and some necessary over the counter stuff, got a bit of food and it was mostly gone. I know this money needed to be spent in any case, but you know how it is...

Good for you getting some stuff on Ebay in advance. I know I could find more things to sell. OK, decision made, I'm going to list 5 things tomorrow.

And I need to get back to the gym now the roads are OK. I think it will give me a boost after all this sitting around and then I'll have the ebaying done in no time!

  • Yeah, it's not in the bank account long is it?!

Good luck with the listings tomorrow, and the gym. I can't wait to get back to going regularly too but it'll have to wait until after payday unfortunately.

I have a bid on one of the items I listed today already too, :D and 4 watchers on another. :D I can see me geting obsessed with checking ebay every 5 minutes now...
  • 3 x 10p on the scratchcards this morning and we 'won' 60 spins of a game on jackpot j0y's daily game, then went on to win £81. I've initiated a withdrawal and it wasn't stopped, but I'm not holding my breath yet as we certainly haven't wagered much on there. It sure will help if it does get to our bank account though.

First round of ebay auctions end in 4 hours or so, so hopefully there'll be some money in the paypal account by tonight. :D
  • Hi DFSD, thats great news on the bingo win and of course ebay :j. We are also finding january very difficult and am counting the days to pay day......10......:rotfl::rotfl:, hopefully Febraury will be a better month for us both :D

  • £81 - OMG that's brilliant :j From what I have seen on the forum, you should be OK to withdraw. I think you emptied the slot machine as I got 10p with my free spins .

Need a cup of tea and some painkillers to get going today. Then it's time to photo the ebay items as it is actually bright and sunny. Ah yes, and find those three extra items that must be lying around somewhere...

  • Yes, I think everybody's counting the days this month eh WABL? I wish they wouldn't bring December's payday forward so far, it really does mess January up! Good luck with the next 10 days...

Chocs - 10p? That's a bit tight of them isn't it! Sorry, I didn't really explain very well - only won £6 something on slots, but bought an early bingo card with it as saw there weren't many people online playing, and won the full house of £75-odd. So, as it was bingo, not sure if they'll pay out... I doubt it somehow.

I've had an email from someone who bought an ebay item I sold on 4th January, saying she's not happy with it as it didn't look the same as the picture! Don't know why it's taken her two weeks to email me and I totally disagree with her, but have done the good thing and said she's welcome to return it (at her expense) for a refund if she wants to. Who waits two weeks to decide they don't like something though?! So that's annoyed me slightly this morning.

I also took the item back for the £13 refund, and ended up spending £16 on a jumper...:o:o:o so I'm £3 down! In my defence, I only actually have two in my wardrobe, so I am in dire need of more clothes. After payday, I am going to allocate say £40 if I can afford it to go and buy a few more essentials as I am getting embarassed wearing the same clothes all the time. :o:o:o

Having a nice cuppa now before starting MORE washing, I swear I don't know where it all comes from!

Happy Sunday everyone, will be back later no doubt!

  • I would be suspicious that "doesn't look like the photo" after 2 weeks means "I'm skint and need the cash back in paypal". Anyway, I think you did the right thing refunding - it is not worth the grief disputing it.

JPJ have an 8 times wagering requirement (opening balance plus bonus), though I recall withdrawing quite early on without a problem. Good luck with that.

I've taken photos of my 2 better items for Ebay. I'll list them tonight as I want the auctions to end in the evening. Put one small item on, just need to find two more. And some energy!

  • Yes, you were thinking along the same minds as me then Chocs - or "I've worn this to the event I bougt it for (it was a fancy dress costume) and now I want to con you into giving my money back..."
I've had run ins with paypal before though when a buyer really messed me around, so I know there's not much point in fighting a losing battle really, as annoying as it is.

As for wagering, yeah I read after about the 8 times wagering thing so am pretty sure they'll reject it, but it will be soooo helpful if they let it go just this once! I have my fingers crossed but I'm not hopeful.

Good luck with the listings - and good thinking getting them to end in the evening - I've often found there are last minute bidding wars on a Saturday or Sunday night when I've had items end around that time. I guess more people are sat in front of their computers then.

Hope you regain some energy too - I've just baked somee pecan & white chocolate cookies if you fancy a sugar hit! The house is smelling divine... won't do the waistline much good though but needed something sweet!

  • All of today's ebay items have now ended and I made £41.67 before postage. :j Am really pleased with that amount, it will certainly help towards the overdraft. I'm waiting for three more people to pay and then I'll transfer it from paypal to the bank account.

Just listed 2 items..haven't done it for a while and it certainly seems easier these days - much more of a template. Only 7p for the listing (I thought it was free but ho hum didn't seem to let me do that but still worth it). Thanks for the push guys! Lets just hope we all get some interest and no one wants to return 2 weeks later (that was well cheeky of her DFSD).

Have just offered an old but working printer and cartridges on Freecycle as well. I love decluttering - even if it doesn't end up in cash it feels GOOD!!
