When did you take your loan out?

Did you go through FP or a broker?

I believe it was within the last 6 years, and went direct over the phone with FP.

    Morning all

Sorry for all the confusion last night.
Just to be sure Marshallka what figures do you need from me so I can get them from HFC
Turbo has left you a post too. We need everything from each agreement...;)

Thanks marshallka for the info, one of my loans was with FP where i paid PPI upfront with the promise of it being repaid if i never claimed within 5 years, the loan was paid off early and as far as i can remember there was no rebate of the PPI, i have briefly looked through this thread and can see that others have had similar instances.
Firstplus have lots of enemies on here. If you received no rebate then that is wrong. You should have received some. Have you sent a letter to them yet claiming misselling.

Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the template letter. Its always best to do your own from this. There are lots of reason on there for the misselling so pick out the ones that are applicable to yours.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

I know what spreadsheets you are on about and I had one done for me over at the CAG site but certainly did not work out like the FOS do it.

I think I will leave the calculating whilst you are on cause the whole thread has got TOOO confusing since.:confused:

Think I'll just pack it in and go back to my more complex cases in anther place- You advise accordingly

Why would you need to know date of new payments etc.... mine with firstplus changed every couple of months. Laini on here got hers back re FOS and did not need to know all of this etc.. . I would think you could do a rough calculation with the figures above. It does not need to be EXACT perhaps. People are not asking for it to be to the penny...not everyone has the statements...:confused:

M colak and tiggrae never asked for statements and these details and over at CAG they did not either...

I am trying to understand you here....

Surely if the interest went down the payments went down so changes the amount already paid?

Right--we may all be talking about different things

When you say Refund Letter--what is being refunded

    a) PPI cos mis-sold and loan then still active with reduced premium
    b) Refund cos you merely cancelled it
    c) or whatever?

    Anyway--nobody get stressed cos I've arrived--:D I probablably don't know what I'm talking about!

To soothe you all before the service goes down--listen to this beautiful song by Lea Salonga in Miss saigon (I actually saw it)

To be honest, i cant remember whether or not i got a rebate, unfortunately after the loan was redeemed i got rid of the paperwork, i will draft a letter on monday to FP to request the info required, other loans i had i have no record of so is it possible to request bank statements to show who the loans were from?
Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years

Folks have just been catching up with all the posts.

We must all remember that we are fighting for our PPI back from those companies that (to put it mildly) shafted us to line their own pockets.

We must save our energy to fight these companies every step of the way and not fight between ourselves.

We will become too stressed between ourselves and lose control of the fight for our money back.

You are all wonderful and all special in your own way:A

    OMG I sound like a mediator lol:rotfl:
